BBS02 possible seal failure?

Hi all,

I've noticed this area seems to be leaking some kind of oil or grease:

Do you think it is a problem?

The BBS02 has done just over 3,000km. It is otherwise quiet and seems normal. I haven't done any maintenance on it at all other than re-tightening the lock rings.

It looks like a normal amount of weeping for a bearing with a generous grease fill.

Yep. Mine has always done that a little, I regrease it every 5,000km or so. It doesn't seem to get any worse.

My BBSHD does the same thing. I have to wipe it off every few rides. It even comes out of the non-moving joints.

Just don't blast it with a high pressure water hose. That will push dirt inside the motor.
