I'm thinking of doing a complete overhaul of my bike, and going mid drive. Couple reasons is I keep breaking a spoke on the elbow, despite being Sapim Strong 13-14g Butted Spoke. I thinking I have too much torque on my hub motor ? The other is, I never know when I will randomly get a flat.. I find when you have a Hub Motor, you are much more prone to getting a flat.
The kit I'm currently thinking about it, is the Bafang BBSHD 1000w mid drive. Possibly also going with the "V2 Upgrade Kit" from affordable ebikes. My frame does limit me to a 42T front chain ring, but I can get a 11-34T 8 gear Cassette.. What sort of top end performance like speed and torque would I see ?
