firstly if this is the wrong place to ask just say ill delete it / move it
I was looking at ebikes on aliexpress and came across the Kickwey K7, 50kph top speed, 1500w motor, all that good stuff, and its in my price range. I want to know does anyone here have previous experience with this ebike? if so its it good? are there any mods?

Common Kickwey K7 e-bike failures often involve power loss, motor malfunction, or error codes typically caused by loose wiring, battery connection issues, or, rarely, component failure like the BMS. Key issues include the bike not powering on, motor assist failure, weak brakes, and display malfunction.

so is there a good bike, within a similar price range that looks similar and DOESNT preferably shit itself after 1k km?

In general. buying an ebike off aliexpress is not a good idea. The shipping may become very expensive. The ship times are long. If something is not right, the seller will likely ignore you, or offer your money back only after you ship it back. Some people do it though, and are quite happy.

Is there anti-ebike hysteria from the police in your part of the UK? I see these alarming headlines and wonder. I would find out first if you can get away with an ebike that looks fast.

honestly? I couldnt care less i already have a escooter i ride, the police dont care.

If it don't matter, then buy a cheap ebike from a UK seller and put a big cheap motor on it for your speed. You can also probably get the same bike they sell on aliexpress already in a warehouse in your country and they already paid the shipping and import fees, and maybe found a way to lower them too.

I wouldn't know, I keep the hell away from the bottom end Chinese market. My father told me that you get what you pay for and it stuck. I'd suggest, only a suggestion, that you save up for a decent setup.

I advise you not to use a bike that you would not pedal by yourself voluntarily without motor power.

If you can not adjust the seat height, it is not a bike. It is a scooter poorly pretending to be a bike.

Buy it, but don’t mod it. Modding prebuilt junk is by far the worste way to go. Buy what you need or build what you need. Buying what you don’t need and replacing stuff is a lose lose. Unless by modding you mean unlock the speed limit lol.

Maybe because all Chinese prebuilts claim to be high end. Maybe change the marketing and claim ultra high end for the high end ones, and just high end for the junk ones would help.

I read a story today about a German company who got duded on $50,000 worth of Chinese copper plate. It turned out to be copper coated steel. I did a little search, it's happened many many times. What other country has ever done such a thing? And of course it's just the tip of the iceberg, one more example of them flooding the world with worthless trash. I'm really at a loss to why people are buying all these cheap chinese bikes. Sure something with a name, like Bafang, but a no-name brand? Just the throwaway society I guess.

Where in the uk are you? I have 'rat bike', 1000w rear hub, 28a, 48v, fixie conversion, with cable disk brakes, i dont ride due to wanting to keep my driving license, house etc... Available for pick up from OX4, circa £400? - its a nimble bike upto 25 mph and will crawl upto circa 30 given a nice flat run, thats carrying circa 100kg of me and a full load from asda...
