The fact that your BPM2 is dull grey doesn't mean anything. A lot of OEM customers don''t want the 8Fun logo or other labels on their bikes because they want to tell customers that it's their own special motors. I've seen matt grey ones before. It's one of the optional finishes. It's probably a genuine Bafang. You should give details of the flange damage to BMSBattery and ask them for your nuts/washers etc. The motors are shipped from Bafang in boxes of twos or fours with the motor s diagonally. After they've been re-shipped, the packaging collapses and the flanges bang into each other and end up like yours, so it would've happened before they shipped it. I'm sure they've seen a lot of these before. As you say, it''ll be OK. That isn't enough deformation to weaken it. Don't try and straighten it. I had two from another supplier and they were a lot worse than yours.merganser said:I'm pretty annoyed about the BPM motor - it has no manufacturer name or brand stamped on it (the CST has 8FUN cast in to the hub), and it looks like a cheap copy of a BPM2. The hub is a dull silver rather than the polished alloy shown on Bafangs web site.
Loose spokes is very common. Normally you have to dish the wheel anyway, which will sort everything out
