I'm building a new pack of 21700's in a 14S4P configuration to replace my failed Luna Wolfpack. My motor has Luna's early Ludicrous option, and so is capable of drawing 50 amps, wide open. When I do open it up, it's usually momentary, so I'm left puzzling what gauge wire is appropriate for my battery. I'd hoped to wire the pack with some 9 AWG silicone wire I have on hand, but wondered if this is large enough for this application. Some non-ebike sources say no, but then I checked the wire Luna used on their Wolfpack and found It's only 10 AWG, so apparently they felt comfortable with it. Do you all agree, and does 9 AWG seem appropriate here?

I draw 60A on 10ga battery leads and extensions with no problem whatsoever.

Yes, I regularly pull 80A for a few seconds at a time on 10G battery wires (wiht SB 50 anderson connectors), 30-40A continuously, and nothing even warms up. ;)
