Hi everyone I'm new here and I'm looking for some advice I purchased a new 36v controller with a LCD screen for my 36v Ebike and I managed to connect all the wires except the last thing was my 36v twist throttle and it has 5 wires to it but the controller only has 3 wires a red, white and black wires and my throttle has 5 a red, green, blue, yellow and black wires so my question is can my throttle work with my controller or do I have to purchase a 3 wire throttle? Any help would be appreciated thank you in advance

Yes. How you wire it and what else you have to do depends on what those other wires are for.

What functions does your throttle have on it besides the actual throttle?

Do you have pictures of how it was wired to the original controller?

If you have a multimeter you can use that with the old controller wired up to the system as it used to be, and measure the voltages on all the wires of the throttle. This will help you find out which wires on it are what signals, and then use that plus the wiring info that should come with your new controller to match up the three actual throttle signal and power wires.

Let us know what you have so we can proceed with specifics from there.
