Can someone tell me how to post photos?

Yes very embarrassing,I'm a mechanic and designer for over 30 years,but I'm new to computers....I have some good photos to contribute on bikes and components,but I don't know how to post photos...
I've done a lot of research and have some good sources for components,but I need someone to explain step by step how to include photos,for a computer dummy... :lol:

Use the "Upload attachement" tab and upload them from your computer or the

Tinypic.com is ridiculously easy to use.

The first thing is to make sure you have the pictures somewhere in your computer that you can find them, know what directory and subdirectory they are in.

Then go to the tinypic url I linked above and click on the "browse" button.

Find the image you want to post with the browse function, open it and then click "upload now".

When your image finishes uploading to tinypic, you will see a screen with a small version of your pic and several choices, you will want to click on "direct link for layouts" and copy the text in that box.

Then switch to the window you have your post to this forum open in and click on "Img" then paste the text (URL) you copied from tinypic in between the sets of brackets that will pop on your screen.

Click on "Preview" to see if it works and keep trying, it's really not that hard to do, but a bit confusing at first.

Simple ...

Click "Upload attachement" at bottom of window
Then click "Browse"
Select the file you want (must be under 512 MB)
Then click "Add the file"

I like to keep my pics about 4 inches wide and 200 dpi
Otherwise the system defaults to a linked pic to the bigger file size.

Play with it and you will catch on real quick.

I have a really nice guy as a purchsing agent in Taiwan,he can get any parts we need,25 cents on the dollar,direct from manufacturers.He sent me 2 catalogs that total over 6" think,anything you desire...

I just tried,website says I can't post a photo over 512 KB,my photo was 1.03 MB.So I'm screwed,now what?
Pitiful,I've placed photos in many different places before.Even my avatar that I tried to post is too big...WTF???
I guess I'll be the king of bullshit,with no photos....

You can resize one or all of your pix with some goooood free, safe software.

For high detail images, I usually resize to 900px wide... the forum will allow that width.
