Hey there, I'm a new user here.
I'm looking for a frame similiar to that of a stealth bomber h52/b52, preferably with pedals.
I'll be using a 1000w 48v MY1020 motor with chain drive on the back wheel. are there any cheap frames like the one stated or should I build my own wooden one?
I'll be using it for getting to school but mostly just riding mtb trails.
thanks

Hey everybody, I am building an ebike with an my1020 motor, 48v 1000w.
I was thinking either an mtb frame, or a supermoto/dirtbike frame.
the problem is, the dirtbike frame weighs ~60-80 kgs (140 to 180 lbs). I myself weigh arround 55 kgs (125 lbs)
I don't know if my motor has enough power to go like 30 mph atleast. I could also run a dual motor setup, but I'd need more batteries and such.
anybody know if I can get 30 mph or 50 kph with the build?
also, in a video of an old ebike using a my1016 24v 250w motor that you should have the motor's gear wheel max 5 inches away from the gear attached to the wheel itself.
is that true for this motor/build? I want to position the motor further away in the frame to so I can waterproof it easier, mount it better and easier and make it look super clean.
Thanks in advance.

Pictures, a link to the video, context? You're not giving us much to work with.. As far as waterproofing the motor, good luck. Usually that is done during the design process where they also figure out the heat dissipation capabilities. If you start gooping it up then you might end up coving some heat sink.

I saw tijn's other post. I think he's asking about a mid mount motor direct to wheel, and how far it can be spaced, chain limiting.

Similar to dirtbike/motorcycle )( They mostly run >1" slack and don't use anything other than a slider where chain might contact swingarm, and they even use 'regen' type forces with motor braking without a problem.

I tried similar proportional wheel/motor spacing distance with my ebike, and found the chain was either too tight which heightens wear and makes wheel removal difficult, or it was a little too slack and would come off occasionally.

So I went with a spring loaded pulley wheel that puts a little tension on the returning chain and fixes all of above. I run a freewheel, so I'm not sure how it would like reverse chain tension such as in regen braking.

once you figure out how you're gonna mount that bitch of a motor please let me know asap.. I've gone through two rear cargo racks and it has made me very..very angry
