Cheap throttle not working properly

Hi,
So, I bought a cheap throttle on eBay, after I broke my EM3ev one (oops), and It works, but limits it to 15km/h.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
Or should I just get a better one?

Do you have a three speed switch installed?

Without a three speed switch your controller may be defaulted to less than 100% maximum throttle.

measure the output voltage and compare it to the old one.

yes check 100% speed settings as above, and also measure output voltage at wot.. It may be a faulty throttle , these symptoms can be caused by one of the magnets in the throttle becoming adrift.

Probably the throttle magnet or hall has either come adrift, or assembled incorrectly.
