cheapest watt meter yet?

if you wanna use these cheapies at 100v for your 24S lipo then you could connect the red lead which has the voltage on it to the top of the 12th cell in the pack.

with a well balanced pack you would have 1/2 of the pack voltage displayed and then when the current flows through the shunt leg, the black wire, the total current displayed would be accurate and the voltage only 1/2 of full voltage so total power used would always be twice what the display reads.

the red wire can be a small wire since it only carries a few mA of current. the drain on the pack in use would be really low too, about 5-7mA.

you could put the meter on a switch too so it would not drain down the bottom 12 cells when it was turned off.
 
Yep, or run two, each one monitoring only 60v worth of the pack.

But for higher voltage, I say just get a CA. My old eyes can't read the display on the small cheap wattmeter on the fly very good. Be even harder to see at 40-50 mph.
