I thought this was kind of good deal. Althought it only goes 20 mph.

I doesn't look big enough for a taller person, but mostly just is not my style, it is a ready to go package as the sub $300 walmart bike. The 40 mile range isn't bad if that is not to over stated.

A 15 AH lead battery in a 90 lb bike is not going to give 40 miles.

I have no stake in the company. I'm used to seeing these $3000 Schwinn electric bikes so this looked like a bit better deal.

I'd like to put the lights and handlebars on a regular bike. It'll get fun when this stuff starts hitting the garage sales, broken, for 20 bucks. Pedaling that thing would be as big a joke as the range claims. The drum brake on the second pic is a hoot!

I bet it'll go 40 miles at .5 mph, which is probably how they got that number
thats bullcrap I feel bad for people who don't know any better, buy this and then think electric bikes are crap.

Pretty much what happend to me, expecting 20 miles out of my trike, I found I couldn't quite make 6 miles at full speed. I had to slow down a lot to make it to the grocery store and back and get 8 miles. Happy again after spending on a pingbattery though.

There are dozens of these Chinese built e-bikes being imported - all are exactly the same - just with different decals or logos. Most are built in the same factory and imported in bulk - then seperately branded by each importer. For the most part, these are very low quality e-bikes - and I'm sure the specs are highly overstated. 40 miles with a 48V/12AH SLA battery??? I doubt that!

I guess for the price, it's not a bad deal. But you get what you pay for - so don't be surprised if the controller craps out or if something breaks. Where are you going to get back-up or replacement parts? Does the seller provided support? These would be my big concerns...
