Choice of folding bikes to covert?

Having ridden a single speed Dahon way more miles than a person should ever ride one and actually getting to like it, I agree the front wheel mount would be the best. The weight of the rider, batteries and motor all on the back would make for a unwieldy combination.

My biggest problem folding was always having to remove the pedals as the large knurled section that is supposed to make it easy to turn never made it easy to turn and I had to use channel locks. Set up and tear down, unpacking and packing, probably took three to four minutes a bike and most of that time was getting the pedals on and off.

But, they did fit in the engine room (boat) and that was nice. If the ebike revolution had started when my wife couldn't ride much anymore I probably would have electrified them rather than go with electric scooters. Probably gone with the Phoenix Sparrow and 36 volts and a easily removable battery pack which goes without saying. The range would have been awesome compared to the scooters.

The Port Runner (sold here...) is actually my favorite. It is very well constructed, very rust-resistant and very reasonably priced. It also comes with a great seat post rack that is made from square tubing. It is easy to mount the controller to it, which makes for a nice tidy setup:

I had some special mounts made, from G-10, that each hold 4 DeWalt packs. These mounts are designed to slide into the channel on a Topeck MTX rack. Here's what it looks like

Hi Gary welcome to the board.

You are an asset to the sphere I am sure.

Sorry for being off topic here but Iam very interested in this set up you mentioned here . The batteries are they modified there or unmodified. and the g10 do they serve as an electrical connector as well as the harness.

I like the g10 package you put together on your website If I amgoing to go M1 route I definitely have to get some of those I like FOOL proof stuff.
cheers

ps

I was reading one your post somewhere about you passing some kid up the hill, for sure a spy head cam would be great.
