Coming along nicely...

Hey everybody just letting you know know how it's going I've got 10 miles on it so far and not a single mechanical failure yet I was blowing fuses at first until I bumped it up to a 30 amp but I'm pretty sure that's not enough either because my BMS keeps triggering and cutting the bike off if I start to get a little heavy on the throttle. But in the meantime I can just take it slow and stack my chips until I can build another battery. There might be naysayers out there but I have to say I'm proud of it. I still go through my pre-ride inspections religiously and I'm pretty surprised nothing has failed on it if I'm being honest. Haven't gone over 25 miles an hour yet but I'm slowly pushing the gate as I ride it. got to find some taller handlebars though I feel like a monkey f****** a football with them drag bars being so low. But it looks cool so Price of beauty I guess. Thank you all for y'all's critiques and opinions and pointers I've taken each one of them into serious consideration. Except for the joke about the guy stealing it because he happened to need some duct tape that day, that was pretty damn funny.

Don't forget missing pedal.

You painted fork as well? Cool. (y)
Can't get the chainring to fit going to have to figure something out it keeps rubbing against the rear end because it's wider than it was thinking about maybe putting on a very small front chain ring with very short cranks and ill have to widen the radius of the chain path but it something that is on the list

Couldn't have said it better myself my friend
You’ve been busy! The paint job definitely helps, and the foot pegs are a good addition.
Plus, the cage around the battery will keep those damn duct tape thieves away! 😏

You might want to start a build thread in the build subforum to document your progress/evolution. My first bike iteration wasn’t a thing of beauty, and I used my share of bungee cords and duct tape to temporarily strap parts to it while testing. A build thread becomes a good way to take notes on things that worked or didn’t, and to plan future upgrades.

The odds of it being able to hit that small a target is slim if not practically nigh. You ever seen a flea's leg?
I enjoy peeing outside. Like to have a big target. Have heard that in some places the police will tell pissers that peeing outside is against the law. I have a plan. If police ever accuse me of peeing outside. I will say. "I was not peeing outside."--and --"Even if I was peeing, there is no way that you could see me peeing because my penis is very small."

It may please you all to know I have retired my death machine, I have a coworker to has a giant brand revive recumbent. For those of you who are familiar with this bike can you please tell me your opinion on how it would perform with my motor on it? Already I see a couple of flaws like the tire size the length of the rake and my remedy to that would be to put 26s on the front and the back remove the rear shock raise it up by at least a few inches and replace the front forks with the larger set?

Semi recumbents with big motors can be a lot of fun

Watch out for weight balance issues but yeah!

Hey everyone here's an update on my build, criticism appreciated. Since my last pictures I swapped out the duct tape battery mount with a steel cradle I swapped the chain over to a bicycle chain I modified the rear sprocket with a track guide made from a brake disc and I added brakes to the rear
That tire ain't gonna hit the battery rack when the forks compress?
It won't if you get solid forks, probably.

Cleaned up the wiring finally. Shortened, heat shrinked, conduit, even found an off brand ignition switch at the thrift shop
What's up with the sprocket on the gooseneck? :oop:
Is that the ball ripper? What purpose does that serve?

Having bad thoughts about gear cutting your penis off if you happen to be the male sex.
He's got the ball ripper on his goosneck!
The femoral artery gasher right behind his seatpost!
I wonder if he dry-checked those forks bottoming out with that battery.

Not liking Giant Revive Recumbent :( Looks just dorky. Death Machine looks like something from the art museum.

Got 15 garbage picked bicycles in my back yard. All of them are way more cool then a Giant Revive Nerd Transporter.

Thank u! Necessity is the father of invention. After thinking about it I think I'll keep the stock wheels on there because larger wheels are just giving me more torque and I definitely don't need any more of that and it'll be less stress on the spokes that's modifying now I have to do I would like to do something with the steering make it a little less tall cuz it is a bit twitchy. Maybe a larger front wheel?

Steering is twitchy because it is a recumbent. Recumbents are twitchy. Recumbents are special bikes for special people who have beards. Note that most people who have beards do not ride recumbent bicycles. I have a beard and have no desire for a bicycle with twitchy steering.

Maybe buy this?

Read here.
$498.00 and ya done. Think this is cheaper then a motor, battery, bicycle and all parts needed for a electric bicycle.
I like the picture. Steering looks like bicycle steering should be. Fenders are good when it rains. I like the blue / grey color. OR paint it to match the death bike. Please don't paint the chain.

If I were to buy a bike from Walmart I would only buy a bike in a box, assemble and adjust it myself. Get it delivered? I have no faith in Walmart bicycle assembly mechanics.

Sell the Giant Revive Recumbent to someone looking for a twitchy hard to ride bicycle.
