Never seen this before. I'm known to be very rough on things with my hand. I've broken a few video game controllers and bent a few markers in my time. When I click my mouse now, every ten times or so, it'll make an extra click. I use lots of copy and paste functions so lets say I'm searching for a word in notepad. I click "find" then it'll find the first word then immediately skip that word and go to the next one like I've hit the "find " button twice which I assume it is actually doing. I think it's clicking the button twice because when I'm clicking around, I notice that it'll click a second time and move to a part of the page that I didn't want to go to. I guess it's a mouse problem? I'm hoping it's just the mouse because that's cheap to replace. And maybe I can fix this myself since I've opened the mouse a few times myself to clean it.

ok, I'll see if I can borrow someone's mouse. Maybe I'll pop it open again. I've popped it open twice to clean it. I've never had this problem before ever in my life.

I'm a programmer....well self-taught programmer. I program for fun believe it or not so I'm thinking all the clicks that I've done have degraded the contacts like Link says.
