Hi,

I ordered two dp Polly cases (70 cells 21700) that come with DC5521 charging ports. They are rated up to 3A but I want to charge the batteries at 5A. The hole and structure of the charging port doesn't allow for XLR or G16 connectors; which connector can be used that fits the same diameter as a DC5521 and charge at 5A 48v?

Regards
Leo

If you have a common port bms you can charge through the main battery connector
It's a 40A JBD BMS from AliExpress (see photo), would that not be damaging or risky in any way? I'll be using xt60 connectors for discharge

Why would it be damaging, in a common port bms the charger is connected the same as the main wires, check the jbd wiring diagram

Don't charge through those crappy little ports. They fail pretty quickly over time. My case came with one and I glued it shut. Since I use a 2-wire BMS I put a Y-cord on the XT90 main power connector and that goes to an XT60 plug for charging. Since I run two packs in parallel, I charge at 10 amps when in a hurry, though 3 amps when topping off to 80 or 90%.
