Construction of Electric Chopper

As I promised, I spread on your review of power plant for my chopper :wink:
It was made ​​a couple of years ago on the basis of a six-speed gearbox from 50 cc bike, and 1.5 kilowatt motor.
Of course with the suicide shifting as befits a real chopper

Cool use of a suzuki gearbox. Reminds me of when I rebuilt my ts50x motor and gearbox. Looks just the same, but it only had 5 gears.

All work done on manual equipment, I do not have CNC machines

I'm thinking of buying a X3 for a loooong time, but the last 3 years the prices on all milling machines have gone up like crazy! Almost all those chinese mills have gone up in price €200+. i don't know why...

I really learned metalworking and continue to learn through the Internet, there are a lot of necessary information.

Do you maybe have some specific sites where good information can be found? I got loads of sites in my favorites where I learned a lot from (even if I still haven't got a mill lol), but maybe you know some others I don't know about yet.

Hehe I might buy one in a few months as I'm in need of a few new LiPo's, which is also very expensive...

This is an amazing build. The amount of talent on this forum is amazing. I have blown 3 of those motors in the past & would not buy one again. This motor is the same mounting pattern but alot more powerful.

I ride on the same engine for three years and traveled 16,000 miles, so far no complaints
And I have a 48 volt motor

Got a wheel with spokes, assembled them yet without air, shortened the fork to the desired length and put the pieces together

Yeah, the guilty pleasure of looking at your pictures and thinking 'I could do that.' And I sort of could, I've used mills and lathes. But how big is your equipment? Is this in your garage?

If I break down and get some Sherlines, will these little guys be able to handle it? Kind of scary to think of getting something so big I can't move it and having it dropped here at the house.
