Construction of Electric Chopper

As I promised, I spread on your review of power plant for my chopper
It was made a couple of years ago on the basis of a six-speed gearbox from 50 cc bike, and 1.5 kilowatt motor.
Of course with the suicide shifting as befits a real chopper
Let the picture"s show the history:

Brilliant work! It looks like there is nothing you can't fabricate.
I would love to have a mill, lathe and the skills to do what you have done.
Thanks for sharing.

Nothing is impossible simply is not enough desire
I also 4 years ago I first saw milling machine, I have long studied and perfected, and I have still much to learn
Well, that will continue?

Cool use of a suzuki gearbox. Reminds me of when I rebuilt my ts50x motor and gearbox. Looks just the same, but it only had 5 gears.
This is TS-W :D

Incredible good work, thats some nice fabbing. Do you have cnc machines, or do you do all the work manually?
All work done on manual equipment, I do not have CNC machines

Wow! Awesome... What kind of milling machine are you using?
Milling machines I have Chinese X3 and SX4

TopCat
thanks

Seriously? A X3? Your work is so beautiful! How did you learn all these techniques? Did you learn them yourself or on internet or something? I'm thinking of buying a X3 for a loooong time, but the last 3 years the prices on all milling machines have gone up like crazy! Almost all those chinese mills have gone up in price €200+. i don't know why...

Awesome!!

I am aw struck! You have more skill in your pinky, than I have in my entire body.
Kudos to you mate! The thing I would be able to do with your talents an machines.
Enjoy it! :D

most of the work I did in fact on X3 but now I have another machine is larger and more powerful but X3 remains a favorite
I really learned metalworking and continue to learn through the Internet, there are a lot of necessary information.
And about the price of machines so they will only grow as the rising price of fuel and electricity so take it and buy :p

Thank you

Do you maybe have some specific sites where good information can be found? I got loads of sites in my favorites where I learned a lot from (even if I still haven't got a mill lol), but maybe you know some others I don't know about yet.

Hehe :p I might buy one in a few months as I'm in need of a few new LiPo's, which is also very expensive...

This is an amazing build. The amount of talent on this forum is amazing. I have blown 3 of those motors in the past & would not buy one again. This motor is the same mounting pattern but alot more powerful.

I ride on the same engine for three years and traveled 16,000 miles, so far no complaints
And I have a 48 volt motor

A little progress
Got a wheel with spokes, assembled them yet without air, shortened the fork to the desired length and put the pieces together

If you have a bit of necessary equipment you will have such one

Yeah, the guilty pleasure of looking at your pictures and thinking 'I could do that.' And I sort of could, I've used mills and lathes. But how big is your equipment? Is this in your garage?

If I break down and get some Sherlines, will these little guys be able to handle it? Kind of scary to think of getting something so big I can't move it and having it dropped here at the house.

my jaw is on the floor. that fork looks like it could be on a 500lb chopper, I love it!

As all are saying Man that looks so good. Great work. Hope you got a good video camera so we can get some nice video footage of it matey. A nice walk around and riding action would be tops!

Keep it up mate! You must really love you ebiking
