Yea, it's very hard to find a controller with the l10 plug and I think I'll end up going with Grin.
$300 is pretty steep for just a controller but I hear good things about them and they're adjustable.
That’s just supply and demand at work. If you want plug n play enough, you’ll be willing to spend 5x more on a solution that has even more features than you need in the first place, just because it’s easy to plug in. It’s probably better to just adopt an “it’s only money” perspective, and get the bike up and running so you can enjoy it.
I'm not handy at all with electrical stuff and want something plug and play, so that's why I was asking.
It’s not about being handy. There are tons of folks coming here for advice that have no background, skills, or tools when joining ES. But, they have a “can do” DIY attitude
and are willing to learn, which goes a lot further than having a lot of technical skills or non-ebike knowledge (reminds me of a movie I watched last week,
The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind).
I have some technical background, but I learned everything I know about e-bikes from the folks here, and posts from folks who are no longer here (past members, as well as members who have passed). ES is where I acquired the
relevant background. Anything you need to know is here.
Anyway, have you considered just buying a new ebike? Your bike could turn into a money pit, especially as other things fail, and plug n play is your only option. If you buy one new, you’ll at least have a few years of hassle free riding.
