OSF is largely used with TSDZ2(b).
I think many users would like to have similar functionalities for TSDZ8 e.g. to change the levels of assist and get more infos on the display.
Having OSF for TSDZ8 requires rewriting largely the software because TSDZ8 controller uses another microprocessor (Infineon XMC1302).
In fact it is the same microprocessor that Tongsheng used on a 48V TSDZ2 V2 controller that was delivered by a specific seller.
Casaindo (who developped OSF) started adapting OSF for this new microcontroller but he stopped because he decided to move to VSF controllers.
I expect it is possible to restart this project.
I looked at Infineon application notes and I found some code that probably could be largely reused to control the TSDZ8 brushless motor in a very efficient way (FOC). There would still be some big work to migrate parts of OSF that manage the display, different sensors and the different levels/modes. Still it would be possible to reuse the logic from OSF and so, it would be much less effort than starting from zero.
I am ready to work on this if there is enough interest.
I would appreciate any help from other developpers.
In order to work on this, it would be necessary that I got a complete TSDZ8 KIT for testing.
Still in a first step, it should already be possible to start with only a TSDZ8 controller (or a TSDZ2 V2 controller using the same microprocessor) and a brushless motor (could even be a TSDZ2 motor).
Questions:
- is it interest for it?
- could some others help developing the code?
- could some one provide a TSDZ8 kit or a controller or a motor?
