Stealth has Actually tripple safeties for the axle.
First one clamps on the Axle itself,
Second, you slide the wheel with that clamp to the dropouts. Dropouts then hold the clamp and the axle in place and keeps them from rotating.
Third, you add the axle-chain-tensioners.
.
thanks for explaining . just to clarify its like a bmx axle position / chain tensioner, a clamping torque arm/dropout and then the axle nut? sounds like im missing something.

PenD, yes the dropout is kind of like a 10mm thick axle dropout on a BMX. but the dropout shape is kind of like and inward beveled C chanel iron in shape. For the axle nut to be secured properly the torque block needs to be in place. If thats in place and if the axle nut could handle a 150nm of torque, the thread post on the end wouldn't be needed for maintaining axle placement in the dropout. Look at my home made pinch torque arm pic, you can see what I am talking about.

Wow that looks awesome! My chain fell off on my ride back...stuck behind the crank, had to just cruise home using the throttle. Gonna wait for Stealth to send me those torque parts before going hard again...created so many problems and dangerous as hell not having one screw and the plate.

Yep had a couple guys come up to me and ask me the standard questions...which is to know everything about the bike. Mostly stares though. Guys in pick up trucks are usually the most interested and try to talk to me while I'm riding fast. I try to not make eye contact because well... I'm trying to be stealth! Most of the time I have to really focus on the road ahead and cars behind me...today I had three near misses luckily in about 110 km of riding. Distracted drivers are the main culprits. And there are massive pot holes from our brutal winter. ..some of these holes are nearly a foot deep.

Thanks Pen D and Proper159. This was my solution for the axle nuts coming loose when using regen. It was based very loosely on Cruzxia design. Its much bigger and very effective at isolating the axle rocking back and forth between the play in the dropouts. BTW, anyone heard from Cruzxia? Last I contacted him, he was playing musical shims with the DNM reservoir to make the shock valving more accommodating for the unsuspended mass rear wheel on his Bomber.

I would say no to those spoke hoses, looks like kid thing to me.

on the back side of the vboxx, there are 5 small screws. Ignore the one in the middle and focus on the two top and two down low. Remove one of the top screws and spray lots of degreaser in it. I use WD40 because its a detergent lube and degreases well. Anyway fill it up and pedal around the block. Then remove the screw on the very bottom and drain it out. It will be very dirty and takes a while so be patient. After, remove the 4 bolts on the back of the VBoxx and squirt about 50ml of grease into each hole. The Vboxx manual calls for 25ml per hole but I found going between 2x and 4x times as much makes the Vboxx much happier. I use Synthetic super lube. Do not use oil. The Vboxx isn't liquid tight and oil will leak out.
Rick
I Release the bottom screw and drain that dirty oil out.

I filled each hole with aprox 45ml, did not have anymore Lube.

Inject the grease into the Vboxx and keep the cranks turning as well as shift up and down through the gears until they're all coated
Clean everything and screw all the screws back.
Pretty easy, fellow Stealthers![/quote]

Allex, I forgot to ask you if you noticed your vboxx worked and pedaled smoother with Super lube? It noticed it did for me, but want to know if that was just an isolated case or if this could be the general consensus?

Hi!
Well, it works quieter, the sound is def. more "muffled" so yeah, it feels more smooth!

Good to hear that, glad I wasn't the only one to think this, especially since I recommended super lube to people.

Thanks you for your tips, A lot of ppl appreciate your info here!
As some of you may already know, I am trying out the new controller for my bike.
Made a little video, so you can see a few stats 'n figures. Does 0-50km/h in 2 seconds sound fast?
Morati, I think you will like it.
Btw, Mafia where are you? Have not heard from that guy in a while now!

Shit the bed Allex, very impressive. So you go your controller programed 4 to with your batt to phase amp ratio. How is the hit from dead stop? Does it want to loop out on you? 0-80 klicks in 6 seconds is also very impressive. Your are not using the stock bomber battery are you? If thats the case, even more impressive. Do tell.

Rick

I think I set a new personal record tonight. I almost busted a gut doing it. I may have caused an accident to. It wasn't my fault. I was just stopping at a light about 3 cars back, and a pick up truck in the right lane rear ended the car next to me. I think he was looking at my bike.

My Wife and I went for a nice Sunday arvo ride today. We rode from home into the central city (well whats left of it after the earthquakes!) The round trip was 22 Km. Sorry about the quality of the pics smeary marks on my phone lens...
You can see Christchurch cathedral and get some idea of the damage caused by the earthquakes 3 years ago!

Very impressive acceleration Allex! A little too hair triggered for the trails I'm guessing?

Hugh, nice pics. How is Auckland still a mess like that 2 years later though ?? What the hell is the NZ govt doing ?!
Scanning through the pics I thought the red bomber with all the pink in the background was TV's for a second

Hyena,
Its Christchurch that had the earthquakes! :)

Rebuild of the central city is progressing, however it will take more than 10 years to rebuild it all...

The Cathedral is not owned by the government but the Anglican Church. They (the Anglican dean) want to pull it down many of us would like to see it rebuilt in some way?
I think nothing is happening on the cathedral though due to legal proceedings?

Ah sorry, I had another window open reading an email from a bloke in Auckland and my brain did a mashup!

Wow, 10+ years to rebuild. I didn't realise it was so bad. That's worse than I would have expected.

Yeh, Was impressed myself how good it ripped. And this IS with old lipo battery! I think Kepler did a run 0-70 in 6 seconds, but it was with 125V! So this little russki guy does a great job pushing my bike! Phase amps does not calculate as in the infenion boards so we cannot really compare those two.
If I lean back a bit then I will make a loop.
Hyena, I did some trails and it is fine. The throttle is actually really gentle compared to Infinion boards - not jerky at all. Also, when you twist it, you actually control the current and not the speed(you can change to speed/torque mode in the settings).

Very impressive acceleration Allex.

My 125V Bomber set to around 10kW was doing 0-70kph in around 5 seconds. Probably a similar 0-50kph time to yours, edit: (maybe a second slower). That was with the 5405 motor.

Thx Kep! But still, you are the King, your test and upgrade was long before the new controllers came around
You were one of the inspiration sources for me.
Anyone knows how fast bomber runs to 80 with stock controller?

Mine with good conditions is around 14 seconds estimated

My Bomber wont go 80 Kph any more with the higher torque motor, about 60kph is it. But I go from 0-30MPH (0-51KPH) in about 4 seconds. Thats with the 24.2" Diameter MC wheel. With a 5404, your bike would be super fast to about 45MPH, their isn't much difference betweent he 5404 and 5405, but there is a large noticable difference between the 5403 and 5404. As I recently learned the copper fill between the 5404 and 5405 is very close. Be looking for a PM from me, need to pic your brain on your setup.

Thanks Theodore, does it really takes that long... Hard to believe now, have to check this with a camera! Your top speed is really high. You must have pedaled real fast that day!

That is just awesome Allex! I wonder how both the motor and the battery handle this over time... No reason to change to a 5405 motor with this performance.

I wonder, does Stealth have better phase wires on the original motor than Crystalyte has?
