Here is an example of what you may see. I’m guessing you asked stealth about the battery specs? Who knows they may tell you.

1Abv I just sent them an email only about 5 mins ago . . I didn't cut it open just couldn't do it lol anyway it had 24 written in pen just 24 nothing else but under that it had 30ah I don't know how I missed it last time I looked of an a serial number and 08/22 written in chalk . Maybe it is 30 ah because I thought the latest model had 32 ah . I spoke to ebmx late yesterday and they said their batteries are for surrons but measure mine and one of there 72v46ah batteries might just fit . They also said it would have to be re-engineered I'm guessing that would mean possibly moving the BMS and change the connection cables , now wait for it price 3.5k plus GST and shipping hummmm . Not to sure about that . I wish the man with those Mobipus controllers would get back to me he only has an email no phone number . Hopefully soon hey

LB Houston nature trails. I used to take the kids here to ride our little dirt bikes about 30 years ago.

Oldboy, I don't urgently need a new battery, but lately I've been shopping around to see what's available. I'm pretty sure a SurRon battery won't fit in our frame. I'm hoping my next battery will be about 40ah, and as things stand right now I don't think that will fit either, but I'm hoping to find something that will fit in 2 dimensions, and I'll just space the side covers out enough to accommodate the width.

Before you decide on a controller you need to figure out how much battery you can get, and what the max amps it can handle will be.

Thanks TV yes I know that I just thought if I aim around the 40/42 ah size that should most likely cover almost anything . I read the other day about how Mobipus can be accessed remotely through a computer link , that would be something very handy for a person like me that knows bugger all .I sent email yesterday and again last night to try and get ahold of the person that sells them and going from what I've read he sounds like he is a very switched on type of person when it comes to this sort of thing . He's got one of those sites where there is only email contact so I have no choice but to wait . I'm pretty sure he does batteries himself as well to . But you are right I do need to find out more about which one of these controllers suites the job best and hopefully stealth will get back to me today with my battery specs as well . Would be a great help if I could get away with my own battery for a while at the very least but I'm not holding my breath either mate

If I remember right was it cowardly duck who makes batteries said he could possibly fit a72v 40ah battery in a bomber . One he was looking into making possibly, without going back and finding it again I sort of remember something around that size being talked about .

That electro Bike mod emailed me the other day asking whether I wanted a quote on another battery . I can't remember if you said they were any good or not TV . Plus I wouldn't know how to even measure up for a bigger battery wouldn't know where to even start . Do you know the measurements of that battery you have now TV . That electro Bike mob reckons they use molicels in their build to would that be correct are they trustworthy, do they do good/ great work

Just heard back from stealth the battery is a 24 ah battery the 7228 in the serial number means 72volt 28ahcapacity but on 24 usable ah if that makes sense, so yer not very big at all .

You can mock up a battery out of cardboard to see what fits. Make sure to take it in and out of the frame. My stock battery was pouch cells btw. Theoretically a pouch cell battery would have more power density, be lighter and you wouldn’t need as many cells as cylindrical cells.

They would be more likely to have a shorter life span due to less air gaps and the ability to dissipate heat but in reality how much?? I don’t know.. I’ve never done a direct comparison. My pack was built w spacers so it’s not honeycomb.

WooHoo, weren't we just talking about Nucular? I got an eMail from this this morning, and they're ready to send me a controller.

Oldboy, are you going to settle for an 80 amp bms?

Oldboy here's a 28ah battery with a 100 amp bms

Measurements I got with my battery was 360 x160 X 120 the 120 was the width of the bike . Those pouch cells ebmx are using are supposed to be good for 1000 cycles then they cycle to 80% after that which is pretty good . They are all potted no gapes either . Your a lucky man Tv shoot I carnt even get a reply back from the person over here who sell those Mobipus controllers and last I spoke to nucular they told me 5 to 6 months wait from now .

TV What are the chances??? That's the company that built my bomber battery. They don't advertise my size anymore for some reason. Here is another builder big in the Razor/ mototec/ minibike mod community..

1abv and tv I'm at a loose my friends . Carnt get the dude that sells Mobipus to even answer an email ( he has no phone contact ) nucular are 5/6/7 months away . Ebmx told me ages ago no worries they could set me up with one of their new batteries now they are to big . I can't do bugger all of this stuff myself ,wouldn't even know how to hook up a controller let alone all the other things that's going to go with it like possible heavier wiring bigger battery and then tuning and on an on . I love in central Queensland Australia got as much chance here of getting this sort of thing done as you would building a space shuttle . What now it's all just starting to give me the shits now it really is .

I've been complaining about the same problem for years Oldboy. After all this time Stealth still has no aftermarket. Everything we do to our bikes has to be custom installed. That basically means adapting parts for other bikes to work on ours. It can be done, but it usually takes a lot of work. SurRon, and Onyx, which weren't even invented until 2017 have all kinds of aftermarket battery's, controllers, motors, wheels, seats, and suspension parts to choose from.

Try sending a PM to, Cowardlyduck. He's in Australia, and might be able to make you a battery pack.

So ES notifications are crap and I seem to have missed the last few pages of this thread or I would have chimed in earlier. Anyway, yes, can certainly help you out Oldboy. I've just sent a reply to your email from my website, so lets chat further from that.
For anyone else watching, I need to do some more measurements, but if I can squeeze 20S10P of 2170's into the frame I can make a 50AH pack capable of 250A using the new Samsung INR21700-50S cells...should be capable of 18KW. Only if it fits though....and cramming in a BMS capable of that power would be a challenge also, but I have something in mind!

Cheers

TV we must be on the same wave length hey , not bad my friend I did exactly that last night after what took me hours to remember the name of his business I sent cowardly duck an email and bingo , must be fate lol . I got a few things to do today first cowardly duck if you see this then I'll definitely give you a call. Thanks

So ES notifications are crap
The old PHPBB stuff certainly could be...I haven't tested the new Xenforo stuff, but you might check out the settings in your user control panel to see if they're turned on or setup the way you need them to be, and that it has the right email for you.
You can set it so you only get an "alert" (icon plus number of alerts) in the top blue bar, or also an email notification, for different things:

I have a question that someone here could possibly answer for me . With Stealth bombers did the early models have a bigger cavity ( where the battery goes ) is what I mean than the later models excluding the very latest models. So when was the beginning was it 2016 correct if wrong thought to 2022 . Was there any changes in size of the main body of the frame

Why I wanted to know this was I spoke to ebmx today and they told me that they have fitted 2 of their ebmx 72v 46ah batteries into earlier model bombers , which earlier year models I couldn't tell you . I'm interested in knowing if stealth ever changed the size of the cavity in their earlier model bomber framed compared to later model bombers excluding the latest models .I was fairly sure that they were all the same size . Maybe guys with the earlier models might know if their bikes are the same as say 2016 though to 2019/2020 or not . I emailed stealth this Arvo so probably won't here back till early next week some time about it . I was sure that they are all the same or are the earlier models different ie bigger cavity or not , some one must know and could you chim in an let me know please .are earlier models bigger in the cavity that later models or not they are all the same ??????

I think there's just been 2 frames, the new one, and the original.

It's always fun to go back and start reading this thread from the beginning. I always gleem new trivia that I missed before. Based on serial numbers that owners post, I'm guessing Stealth's hayday was back in about 2012-13, right about when I bought my bike. That's when the serial numbers seemed to really be jumping fast. I'm guessing sales started slowing down some time after 2014.

This thread was only 3 years old when I started posting, but I don't even show up till page 209. This was my first post.

TV what do you mean by the new ones . New ones being the latest ones 2023 cause they do look different. But what about ones like yours 2013 to mine 2017 /2018/2019/2020 where there was a bigger motor UFO fitted and possible different battery but would your main body of your bike the battery cavity be the same . Because ebmx are telling me that they have fitted 2 early models genuine bombers with their new ebmx 72v 46ah batteries . Those batteries are fully potted with ski prismatic pouch cells modded with the stealth connections for $3500 with a 2 year warranty. They claim 1000 cycles then after that they will still charge up to 80% and still be good at that . That's pretty dam good value . That's why I'm trying to find out if and what bombers are different in cavity size to my bike . You think as years went by and motor and batteries got bigger that if there were changes the later would be bigger but maybe battery tech got smaller , buggered if I know I'm just trying to find out if one of these things will go into my bike . I reckon if the stealth computer srceen was moved or takes out all together that would indeed make more room . Would I not need it if I go for a wifi controller like the Mobipus, wouldn't I be able to hook up a phone to that and all my screen stuff would work on that instead hence giving me more battery room . I like their batteries because of their longevity and power and for what you get is pretty good value if only it would fit hence what's the difference between the ones they have fitted them into and mine ,that's the big question I guess

Make sure they're talking about a real Bomber, and not a chinese clone. I'd be really surprised if 46ah could fit in a Bomber frame. From what I can tell there's no difference from 2010 to 2022, or whenever the newest model came out.
