Sounds good! I’m not in a rushI might be able to help. I offer value for money, not cheap. I'm currently booked out for the next few months at least. Check my website in my signature block for info.
Cheers
Hey CD, checked out your website, I knew you were offering builds/services, didn't know you had a website identifying it. Pretty cool man!I might be able to help. I offer value for money, not cheap. Thanks! Yeah, it definitely keeps me busy!Hey CD, checked out your website, I knew you were offering builds/services, didn't know you had a website identifying it. Pretty cool man!
It's been over 2 months since the rebuild, and even though the good riding season was over, I've still been able to log enough miles to get a real good feel for how well it works now. I've been saying it was great all along, but often after familiarity sets in opinions can change. That's not the case this time though, if anything I like it more now. It also doesn't hurt that the SurRon seat I installed a few weeks ago is probably the most comfortable seat I've had on any bike I've owned, including my Road King. This build was greatly aided by the fact that Allex, and bigbore had already blazed a trail through the jungle that was easy follow. Because of Allex I knew ahead of time that a Kelly KLS7218S controller would work well, and bigbore proved that a QS205 motor would fit my swingarm. What I wasn't totally prepared for was finding out just how well those parts actually work together in my bike. For the record a 7218S controller is 80 amp, the QS205 is 5000w, and my battery has a 100 amp bms.
After 3 weeks of freezing ass cold, the last 2 days got up to 70 degrees, and I took advntage of it both days. I just got back from a 40 mile ride around town. I really enjoy the extra power I have in traffic now, especially above 45 mph and in the 45 to 55 mph range. Before, that was full throttle, high power consumption territory, but now I can cruise at 50 mph on partial throttle, and not much voltage sag. At heavy acceleration there is big voltage sag, even more than before, but cruising at any steady speed it seems like the efficiency is noticeably better than stock with very little sag. Even though I find myself cruising around at higher speeds now than before, my range hasn't dropped much. Todays ride only used a little more than half my battery. It's like the best of both worlds. One last thing I'd like to mention is that even though I no longer have a amp hour meter, I really haven't missed it at all. I can tell all need to know about my battery by the voltage alone.

I think the answer is yes. Before the QS I was running a stock 5403 Crystalyte motor, and stock 65 amp square wave controller. Now it's 80 amp Sinusoidal Kelly controller, and QS 205 5000w. The battery is the same 72v 35ah. There was about 10 years of technology separating the old from the new.Questions.....
What motor were you running before you installed the QS205?
Is the performance increase a result of multiple changes? Just wondering how the two motors compared...if that is even possible considering there may have been changes besides the motor.
Thank You...nice looking bike wiht a great set up.
And the tassels are 80 year old technology, a perfect blend!I think the answer is yes. Before the QS I was running a stock 5403 Crystalyte motor, and stock 65 amp square wave controller. CD, I have a couple of questions, At first I thought it was late 2012 early 2013 Fighter as they CA cutout on the frame was enlarged in late 2013 for the DC1 and the H3540 motor was phased out and the H40xx motor was implemented at the beginning of 2014. But on the frame and seat triangle, it list P7 which came out officially 2 years later in 2016 if I recall. But the high speed Schlumpf clone speed drive was and is what the Fighter comes with. If that is indeed a fighter with P7 markings the serial number would have to be between 100 and 180.Yes it's a Fighter. That price is ok if everything works.
If you get it, I can build you a battery, just PM me.
Cheers
Yes, thought it could be Quiet Rush's bike too. The only thing I am certain on is its pre 2014 as the frame cut out is for the CA and not the DC1.Pretty sure it's a Fighter....in fact it looks like it could be Quite Rush's old unit....if you go back far enough in this thread you should find some of his old posts if you want to confirm.
Cheers
I hear you on everything. I remember when I got my Bomber in March 2012 (I think it was March) rode that thing every day snow or shine. I want to get back to that. I got a couple of more years before I retire. 2 years one month actually. Going to get back to riding daily or almost daily. BTW, your E chopper will be a hit at Strokers.I've had my Bomber now for 11 years, can you believe it? The whole eBike world has changed drastically since I bought it. I've gone from seeing 1 eBike a year, to seeing at least 4 everyday. I've kind of changed to. I was 59 when I bought it, and now, oh lordy I'm 70. I still ride everyday though. I go on a lot of group rides, and even after all these years people still think my bike is brand new. The worst thing I can say about my bike is, it's a little too nice. When it rides up, sometimes it's like a pretty young girl just walked into a room full of ugly beachie's. Surprisingly it gets the most respect from clone riders. They're usually the only riders that actually know what it is. The reason I bought this bike in the first place was for commuting, and I still commute 30 miles round trip across town once a week. That's what it's really best at, going fast in traffic. For at least the last 3 or 4 years I've been looking for a new bike that I could use mainly just for joyriding and cruising, but to no avail. I haven't seen a single new bike that floats my boat out of hundreds I've looked at online. Until last Wednesday. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow, and when you see it you're going to flip you gourd.
