So I'm amazed that it actually has been 13 years since I had this stack!!! I think it is almost time that I rebuild the Stealth Fighter #86. The poor beast has been in storage ever since. Anyhow hope to start to get some good ideas and updates from the community as this build starts.
Please share your rebuild/build up with us here. I look forward to it. Fighter 86, was that the larger frame fighter designed for the headway cells?
 
I wouldn't open the V-Boxx without watching those three videos first... you risk never putting it back together again!
it's easy to open and close the v-boxx with no problems that's why it was unnecessary for any service diagrams.
 
has anyone who bought a new Stealth bike make a warranty claim within the warranty period for any failed part on the bike.
i understand there warranty is limited to certain parts on the bike.

I´ve got some questions concerning the V-Boxx gear unit. The instruction book asks for an oil change ever 2500 Km. I´ve used 150 ml of a chain cleaning solution to wash the internal gears of the old oil.
New V-boxx came with liquid fat.
I use fat made for central lubrifications systems on large trucks

The gearbox calls for grease NOT oil, very big diff.

i have battery chargers for RC nitro & electrics and i like the lipo battery storage mode with those chargers.
why does the simple stealth charger not have a daily storage mode if my batt is at 60% and only want to charge to 80% i'm going to have to guess when to turn off the charger when it reaches 80%.

when i bought my bike used it had 87% batt capacity i then rode it a few times until it reached 67% then connected the charger.
i had the charger on for 20 mins then turned it off and turned bike on and it had the same reading 67%, i did it again for 20 mins and once again 67%, i continued with charging for another 40 mins and now it has 100%, i was expecting to see a percentage increment change during the on and off charging process but i didn't see that.
i think next time when charging i'll just check the display screen batt volts when to turn it off.

My last three Stealth bikes including my current B52R do the same thing, The battery meter indicator on the DC1 wont trip to 100% until you get past a certain voltage during charging. If you charge it and toggle the key to power the bike on and off, you will see some increments during charging up to 100%.

i came back from a ride with the battery at 57% and 86.8v and i put in on the charger for 40 minutes and turned the bike on and it still at 57% but with 90.1 volts, i did toggle the power key while the charger was off a few times and it didn't change the percentage at all.

Wednesday's ride. GPS Confirmed top speed of 61.35MPH, or about 99KPH.

i came back from a ride with the battery at 57% and 86.8v and i put in on the charger for 40 minutes and turned the bike on and it still at 57% but with 90.1 volts, i did toggle the power key while the charger was off a few times and it didn't change the percentage at all.

That's pretty close to what I have, at 83.8 volts, I show 54% and then when I charge and volts exceed 90 volts, it goes to 100%. Yah, it felt plenty fast at 99kph. More than happy with it!

yep exactly, there is no other display reading than 100% when charging it...it's too bad if you want to charge it to 80% that can't happen.

wow, stealth bikes recommends to have the battery fully charge wherever possible.
that bad don't do it..charged it to the storage capacity "good luck with that" if it's not being ridden that day.

the stealth display is not capable of giving a correct battery percentage when charging from 50%.
when i have been charging and the 2 red charger lights are on i can turn the charger off and then turn the bike on and it has 100%. And it should not show 100% because the the green light on the charger did not come on.

i set mine to max out at 70kph and it felt fast..why doesn't the bike have a top speed display reading, all i have is the average speed display.
That I don't know, the DC1 probably has the ability to set and display that, but I don't know where that would be or if its in the advanced menu which I don't know how to access on the latest generation.
