E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Thanks TV, hows yours doing? Still hitting Strokers on it?
I think I rode down there twice this year. They've always looked at my Stealth questioningly, not really sure what to think of it. Now I ride there on Bullwinkle and it's like an agent of the devil just showed up signaling the end of the world as we know it lol.

This Tuesday was a great day. The latest version of the B52 R Bomber arrived in Nevada from Australia. After getting this bike uncrated, assembled, charged, and preventive maintenance check on the entire chassis, I set the DC1 too "Competition" mode and took it for its maiden voyage shake down ride. All I can say is HOLY $h!T!!! This thing almost through me off the back when I took off! The QS273 hub motor is so much more of a monster in terms of size and weight and power output over the previous Clyte 54XX and the later H55 series motors that they are not even in the same category. Front wheel is a standard DH Rim and 27.5" MTB tire for gravity riding, and the rear is a 1.60 X 21 rim with the Mitas Enduro Trail XT 90/90-21. That's the same size of tire that's on the front of the orange bike next to is. Speaking of the orange bike, its a 2024 KTM 890 Adventure Rally edition. Comes in around 460# and puts out about 103hp at sea level. I think my new B52R can stay with that bike and maybe even beat it right off the line from 0-30MPH, if I can stay on it and keep the front wheel down at the launch. Stealth's propriety H Boxx 6 speed with electronic shifting is flawless. Push the the button up for upshifts and down for down shifts. It's so quiet you only know its shifting because the pedal cadence changes, but is silent other wise. The power output is just awesome. I hit 56MPH and it was still pulling a little bit. If I went to a smaller a lighter 80/90-21 or the Shinko 2.75-21 SR241 on the rear, this bike would blow past 60MPH for sure. The brakes are actually motorcycle calipers and rotors, probably similar specs to 85CC MX bikes such as the Kawasaki's KX85 or KTM's SX85 with 16/19 wheels. The battery is a 22s and looking at 92.4 volts HOC. Stealth was looking at different cells and I am not sure which cells they settled on for this pack. But based on the non R model, the AH storage is probably somewhere between 28 and 35 for this pack. The Fast Ace suspension is surprisingly perfect for my 208 pounds. Its perfect out of the box and I don't have to respring or re-valve anything. All in all, this is THE BEST iteration of the Bomber ever made. This next riding season, plan on seeing some videos of this bike in action on my YT channel.

Edit: Just learned the battery is a 22s 40AH pack! The front rim was designed inhouse to be as strong as a MX front rim to fit the 27.5" Eddy Current tire.
Bella Rix!
Your review is amazing! I can't wait to see the video of your new moto-bici (y)

A few years ago I replaced my bomber battery pack through Hi-C Battery. I believe he used Samsung 30q 18650 cells 72V 36AH 100A 2592WH. Very happy with it.
Only issue the leads for the BMS ran out the bottom of the pack. The weight of the pack presses on the wires.
On my second pack since purchasing my bike. #238

Hi was needing help .I have a stealth fighter crystalyte rear wheel and controller I've got the headway battery with some puffy cells and one that is destroyed. What should I do for a battery . I've seen one member here runs zippy 6s 8000mah 30c batterys x3 in series but you can't buy that type any more , any help would be appreciated

The latest and greatest gen/iteration of the Stealth Bomber, aka the B52R. The Hbox that replaced the Vboxx is a wide ratio 6 speed unit. I have yet to try it, but based on my experience with the old Bomber, I was usually double shifting up, I felt like 3, 5, 7, and 9 were the best and most used gears. 3 was the gear I used the few times I pedaled home due to a dead battery. 5 and 7 were the offroad pedal assist gears which I used the most, and 9 was road riding and tall enough to pedal assist at 40MPH and with high cadence, even more. Anyway I will end up with one these latest gens at some point.
My son's battery in his 2014 B52 is down to about 13 miles of range, so he ordered a new one. Not a battery, but the whole damn B52R with the big battery.

I put in my order earlier this week, and after reading this, I am even more hyped—thanks for sharing the review!

I've been riding my 2015 B-52 with @biknut for the past decade and finally got the itch to upgrade. I didn't want to monkey around with a 'Frankenstein' build to try and mimic the R's performance; the Gen 1 has been a phenomenal bike in stock form, and honestly, with a fresh battery, I am sure it will go another 10 years easy.

I remember the Gen 2s coming out, but they didn't quite move the needle for me at the time. The B-52R is a different story. I was initially a bit put off by the extra weight, but then I realized we’re firmly in electric dirt bike territory now. It reminded me of the doubts I had back in 2015 about pedaling a 120lb chunk of steel around—but just like back then, I'm sure the first time I twist the throttle on the R, all those concerns will disappear.

""but then I realized we’re firmly in electric dirt bike territory now"" and we are in the E dirt bike realm with this machine. But it can still be pedaled in 1st and 2nd under human power only. This machine is so fun though. Just some set up advice, slow down the rebound on the rear shock and slide the seat forward on the seat post, the reach on the B52R is so much more than the gen 1, this will keep your weight center biased on the bike, and still feels like a lot more room on the reach.

If you have the old Fighter with the Headway cells, that's pre 2011 or maybe even 2010. That battery compartment on that frame is bigger than the newer gen Fighters by quite a bit. You could run a newer Stealth F37 battery and charger, you will have tons of room to spare though in the frame. You would need to get a bunch of foam and pack that battery in tight in the frame if you went this route.

Just so you are aware, ordering two B52R will cut your shipping per bike in half.

I guess he figured that out because at first he said he wasn't going to buy it because the shipping was too much, but the last thing he said was was going to ask them about it. Then a couple days later he said he bought it.
