Say mods, is there an issue re-posting the pics I posted in the (above) post?

ah... ...ha! tanks

The Eagle has Landed! :D

I am very excited to get this trike up and running!

Pictures from Rassy's Visit & build of the trike soon to follow!

I will start a new build thread for the trike in the next few days, stay tuned! :)

The delivery boy had a great week!

Headed down the Oregon coast on Saturday. Had a visit and lunch with augidog.

Stayed at armpower's Saturday night and we had a fun ride Sunday morning. Big hill to climb, followed by fast coasting back down. And oh yes, I beat the Cribbage game we played. :D

on down the coast to ddk's. Another good visit and lunch, then loaded the trike he donated to the cause and headed home.

Busy for a few days with my Dentist and Max's Vet.

Then yesterday (Thursday) headed to Oregon City to drop off the trike at LI-ghtcycle's. We also had a good ride along with his Dad, including a ride on the public "outdoor" elevator and a visit to the bike shop he works with.

Then had lunch with my Sister who also lives in Oregon City.

In case anyone cares, these were car trips, pulling trikes on a small trailer, except for the fun rides with armpower and LI-ghtcycle.

Been super busy this week with E-Bike projects, a few deliveries/service calls, got a request to build a similar battery cover for a customer to the diamond plate boxes on the E-Zilla too! :D

Here's a pic of my dad, Terry and Pete (Rassy) at the top of the elevator:

Thanks again to ddk & Rassy!! Was a great little ride down the hill and back up again, got to check out Rassy's BBS02 powered Tadpole Trike, very impressive!

The more I learn about the BBS02, the more I want to build one! (If for myself, it would be my Muddy Fox 700c hybrid, but probably going to build one first from a beach cruiser frame that will be offered by Classic Cycles as a turn-key bike!)

Been spending a lot of time just ordering parts, planning the two builds (R40-E 'bent & E-Dekta Trike) I'm going to have Christmas in August!

Work's still not slowing down, last hurrah of the summer before school, lots of people getting bikes ready for the "bridge pedal" event where they close several bridges in Portland for bicycle use!

I am almost finished with a customer's battery box, got a bike to finish fixing up and selling I got at Goodwill, and just minor maintenance on the E-Zilla.

Put a little extra weight on the trailer getting a week's worth of groceries so I had to replace the old tires and discovered a slim tube in one ... yuck!

Got some maxis hookworms on order (apparently Seattle Bike Supply no longer carries 16" Schwalbe Big Apple Tires  but I am sure the Hookworms will work out well.

I would want ideally to electrify something like this:

It has the styling I want, and simple utility design, but although a front hub motor would be an easy, it eliminates the ability to pedal, the other less attractive idea is to have a straight axle in back with one live, one free wheeling rear wheel, and a chain drive from an outrunner (I have a couple of these motors).

Mainly, I am looking for a good balance between style and comfort, i.e. not so low that it's hard to get in and out of, but not so high that is is like the typical unstable adult tricycle pictured up top.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

and 2 of these

and some wheels

i think it would all work well

i just wish i could get this sort of stuff in Aussie Land

Yeah! that would be pretty sweet! :D

I have a couple of motors that would work for that set-up well too, but it might work even better for a trike with a straight axle already, have to look into that some time. 8)
