E006 error on TF-M8 display conected with Mqcon Sabvoton SVMC7245. As a result, PAS assistance levels controlled by the display are not working.

Hi everyone,
After a long search, several attempts and testing different controllers, I finally found a Mqconn Sabvoton SVMC7248 that works very well with my Super73 ZX. Motor and battery are original Super73. Controller stay very cool on testing I have done untill now.
The important thing for me is that PAS works correctly with this controller. The bike responds to pedaling and the motor assistance is activated as expected.
However, I am having a problem with the PAS assistance levels controlled by the display.
I purchased a complete kit from MQCON, consisting of:
Sabvoton SVMC7248 controller
MQCON TF-M8 display
The display was recommended by MQCON as being compatible with this controller.


After installing everything, the display shows an E006 error. From what I have found, E006 may indicate a communication problem between the controller and the display, but I have not been able to confirm the exact meaning of E006 for the SVMC7248 + TF-M8 combination.

More importantly, changing the PAS level on the display does not change the motor assistance level.
For example, if I select:
PAS 1 → full motor power when pedaling
PAS 2 → full motor power when pedaling
PAS 3 → full motor power when pedaling
There is essentially no difference between the PAS levels.
Even more strangely, if I set the display to PAS 0, I would expect the pedal assist to be disabled. However, the motor still provides full power when I pedal.
So at the moment, PAS itself works, but the PAS level selected on the TF-M8 has no apparent effect on the controller's power output.
The behavior is basically:
PAS 0 → motor assists at full power
PAS 1 → motor assists at full power
PAS 2 → motor assists at full power
PAS 3 → motor assists at full power
The controller otherwise appears to work correctly with the bike.

There is one more detail that may be relevant. The TF-M8 display has two connectors. I connected connector #1 to the controller, as shown in the attached photo. However, I cannot find any corresponding connector for connector #2 on the controller/wiring harness.
What is connector #2 supposed to be used for? Could it be related to the PAS levels or to the E006 error?

I have already contacted MQCON/Sabvoton about this problem, but unfortunately I have received no response for more than two weeks, despite asking for technical assistance.
I am therefore trying to find someone who has experience with this exact combination:
Super73 ZX + Sabvoton SVMC7248 + MQCON TF-M8
and, ideally, someone who knows what E006 means specifically on the TF-M8/SVMC7248 combination.
I am not looking for general advice about how PAS works. I am specifically trying to understand why the PAS level selected on the TF-M8 does not appear to be controlling the assistance level of the SVMC7248, and whether the E006 error is related.
If anyone has experience with this controller/display combination, I would really appreciate any information about compatibility, firmware/protocol differences, PAS configuration, or known issues between the SVMC7248 and TF-M8.
I can also provide photos of the controller, display, wiring/connectors and the current configuration if that helps.
Thanks in advance to anyone who has experience with these Sabvoton/MQCON systems.

Suspicious that it never worked from the start. Can you show the sticker on the controller's back? The one you linked has either APT protocol or headless (no display) options. I don't think I've seen SVMCs with this particular display. I saw the SM series sold with it but not the SVMC series. So if they fooled you with selling a wrong display, you have to fight back

Edit - I guess I missed the third option on that page with your display. Still I would check that the controller model matches it

Do you have speedometer and whatever other indicators working on the display when you ride, press brakes etc? Have you tried adjusting any of the display settings?

Only batery is shown. Spedometer and the rest remains always 000000. Yes I made adjustments in the display meniu. For exampla I set only throttle to work and PAS disabled. Save the setings but zero effect. PAS is still working. Also change setings to put throttle to zero and only PAS to work. Zero effect on the controller, throttle works fine even on disabled mode so for me is clear that controller dont't receive the settings I made on display.

Before buying this kit of mqconn savotron and TF-M8 display, I got a sabvoton without a display from mqconn (delivery from China) and a UKC1 Display from another website from my country with local delivery. The result : E006

On the svmc7245 online user manual from mqconn website the UKC1 Display is listed as full compatible.

I got 4 sabvoton controller for 4 ebike....maybe the solution with raspbery PI as PAS interpreter is a solution for me. But I do not discovered until now the webpage with the correct resources for this project to work in my setup combination. Is mandatory for me to have an working PAS.

As I mentioned, I have a list of controllers that I buy for test. First was Flipsky. Famous Flipsky 75100 PRO v2 with VESC compatibility. Works like a charm with the hub motor from super73 zx. But zero PAS. I even found 2 guys from Poland and Brazil to make a custom file to load to firmware....zero result. After move to an Flipsky ESC FT85BD. This combinatiin is not working. Next I try an KT controller sinus wave prom nexun poland. The hub motor work but with some discouraging noise and a lot of heat. This is my story short. 2 years in one sentence.
 
Most displays get the battery voltage using their own hardware, rather than from a controller. So if everything else is 0, it's pretty much a given there's no successful communication.

MQCON makes several versions of SVMC-M that I know of, headless (no display connector, only a hall sensor output for a speedometer), APT protocol (typically used by UKC1), H (for H6 display). I have a headless unit and an APT unit, the latter has APT in the model name and works correctly with a supplied UKC1 (UKC1 I believe can also come with a variety of protocols, so have to be careful when ordering separately).

So idk overall what to do in your situation. I would probably just contact MQCON and threaten to chargeback (revoke) the payment if they don't cooperate and help you with this issue...
