Already figured the current mod, below 5A to above 10A, Amps to 10A @14V, 5A @29.4V, voltage adjustment to below 12V
29.4V 5A configured - parallel 2 for 29.4V 10A
14V 10A configured - series with 2 parallel 28V 5a = 42V 10A
Many many many more possibilities!!!

I plan on "Destructive experimentation" !

Will be posting results-instructions soon.

Best shipping price is lot of 14!

Click "Shipping & Payments" tab.
Great combined shipping discounts!!!

I got 14, for less than $50 including shipping and NY sales tax!

That's an absolutely absurd price. Wow. I wish I could just buy them and leave them around until I needed them, but I don't seem myself using one for a few months. I also recently bought 4 slightly adjustable server supplies for $10/ea.

shipping to canada is >$33 :(

it is likely that the seller chooses the shipping options, and it is limited by that.

It is worth checking the prices on "more options" and see what your quantity costs.

When I actually ordered 3 the "more options" showed me ~$14 in shippng costs. After I bought 3, ebay made it seem like I had $33 dollars in shipping, but the actual paypal bill showed the proper amount.

How do i change the shipping options? It uses UPS as the default, but that cost 60$. The USPS flat rate box is only 12$... But I can't figured out how to chose that option.?
Just before final checkout.
It will show the normal price, after you pick, it will show normal price minus the discount.

It wont work for me because I live in Canada!

The seller undervalued the item, then failed to realize that he could never fit 14 PS's in a "(USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box®)"

4 ... maybe ... but never 14!

Oh! My first lot of 10 came with a partial "cowling" with switch and PC power cord socket.

++++

I bought another 50+ ...

Won't work for me in the UK, either, five of them were over $100 shipping.................

Auction ended - all sold!

Fun while it lasted.
I stocked up Bigtime!

Great for eBike charging ...

Typical price on ebay ... back to normal - $35 each - shipped.

I wasnt to worried about it because they were 1/2 normal power for a meanwell. Usaly a box like that is 300-350 watts. I just ordered a 12v 30a meanwell or knockoff from dealsextream it says iron case but I think thats a bad translation and its suposed to be metal because the pic looks aluminum. $33 incl shipping and its 360 watts so it will run two isolated chargers for me! http://www.dealextreme.com/p/12v-30a-iron-case-power-supply-black-silver-ac-110-220v-125352?item=2

Thanks for sharing info. It's always kind to spread the (good) deals ^_^

I will definitively find a use for this guy.

Oh! Haha! I'm sorry, I didn't mean that as a sarcastic response to you, I meant it to Darkangel's original post.

That 30A 12v supply is really serious, but in general for 12v I lean towards used server supplies. Even though they're less adjustable, they're high quality goods at a low cost.

Oh! Erm, recently I bought 4 of these (technically, 2, as they are sold in 2). Below was the best price I found them at (quite good.) They also have nice copper heatsinks if you are interesting in re-purposing the internals for one of your controller projects. But they're not nearly as thick as Aluminum ones and not well suited to attaching to another block (like the case.)

There are a few mods on RCgroups to get I believe from 8v to just shy of 15v. But only either as 8-12.5v or 12-14.5V, not the full range in one mod. To be honest, I haven't gotten around to them though, as I originally bought this for my boss at work as part of a project converting a wood belt sander to run off an Etek for at much lower speed for sanding foam. He decided he'd rather the adjustable benefits of running 48v + Curtis controller, so I bought that 2950W 51.4v server supply that LFP posted on ES once. Eventually I'll get around to re-purposing the 4 12v power supplies that I linked here.
