Allex
100 MW
Would like to share my modification of this well known electric kickscooter.
Base setup is 800W brushed chaindrive motor with 36v Lead Acid batteries.
Max speed 35km/h

The stock setup is is really noisy because of the chain. Charging the battery(12Ah) takes forever, 8h from empty to full. Charger is rated for 2Ah
So I found this wheel with including brake disc at COnhismotor.com for 120USD
This is a geared hubmotor
and A new full-twist throttle for 15USD. The old half-twist is not comfortable for me

The brushless controller from Conhismotor was not really compatible with the wheel, very jerky and also very big.
So I ordered a new 9 FET 72V brushless controller from Lyen.com
http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=16998
Swapped the old lead Acid for lipos.
4pcs 10s5Ah Nano-tech from hobbyking.com
Made custom y-cables for main and balancing cables.
Running those in parallel makes it 37V20Ah and the range is around 27km if you run the scooter quite aggressively
Top speed went up to 39km/h

I have a Hyperion 1420i with a Hobbyking 540W powersupply to charge those things. Max charge current is 10A. It takes around 3hours to charge my 20Ah pack

So the stock Chinese brakes are crap. Always rattling and always needs adjustment. Got tired and ordered regular bicycle brakes(Shimano BRM495)
Need to space out the rear dropout to make a perfect fit.

Also made custom mud guards from a plastic bucket
Otherwise you are covered with dirt from a ride on a rainy day.

Now when I have better brakes I can connect LiPos in 20s10Ah configuration this will get me 84V after charge the Controller puts out 30A so this would be ~2500w(?) of power to the wheel. Controller gets pretty hot with this config so I moved it to the old Motor compartment for better airflow. The motor itself is barely worm
Max Speed is now 60km/h. This is very fast for a such small scooter with those tiny wheels so speed is more than enough for me.

Was not happy with regular battery led indicator because I like to see the real time voltage. Fitted a Digital Volt meter DC 15v-120V on the throttle

And here is the final product:
Spec:
Weight: 28Kg with lipo
42V@39km/h Range: 25km to 40km
84V@60km/h Range not yet tested.
Peace...
