Fitting Industrial Connector for Battery balance leads

Using Lipo batteries can be a pain in the rear if you use the RC hobby balance lead connectors. They are obviously made for light weight in an RC plane or copter.
On an ebike the un reliability of those little connectors can mean frustration.
I have been playing around with industrial plugs and sockets and standardised on a cheap-ish plug available on ebay.The main thing here is gold pins for repeatability.
The difficulty is to get a female socket and male plug, it seems the reverse is more common. I tried it the other way and sure enough a short when trying to plug in in the dark the metal body of the plug touched the pins and caused a melted socket.

I have put together a series of photos which may help others.

Thsoe are definitely a better choice for something that gets a lot of connection cycles, and are my personal favorite choice. :) (but I also used to work at Honeywell CFSG back in the late 80s/early 90s and we used those for even our test equipment, as well as the actual aircraft displays/computers/etc, so I got used to them and their occasional quirks).

There's a few other types used by various ES members, including variations on the Sub-D/etc series, some of which have a few large-gauge contacts plus many small ones.

Can i ask how much you pay for the connector ? and does it decrease any kind of current loss ?

Do you feel any difference other than solving unreliability of previous connectors .

They cos t about $10 each see link provided. They are rated at around 10 amps.
They have a weather proof cover which screws onto the connector to keep the water and dirt out too.
Tested it this week and works well. I suspect they should last a lot longer than the original connector which was really only designed to be plugged in and out a few times.
