foundingpower programmable bms

just re-discovered the thread, I'm interested.

What will be in the new version and when will it be released? What would be the price point too?

Looking forward to heard more from you

Many thanks to Eason, installed this BMS on my first ebike, works perfectly!

Hi Captain Andrew

Congratulations -

In my opinion, this is a reference build for smart BMS.. After seeing it, I got in touch with Eason so I can get thhis BMS too. I'm on the waiting list for the next release.

Captain Andrew - Would you care doing a walkthough on your build?

I would really like to have an idea of the process that went behind building this. Again, great work!

If you could give an idea of your wiring - that would be great too.

Thanks!
I have finished testing and the case is under manufactorying.

Hello,
I've finally installed the BMS on my scooter, sorry Eason it took way too much time. In fact I now have an e-bike and use it much more than the scooter.

Here is a video I made, it's in French but the images speak for themselves.

Also available here: http://www.romelec.fr/share/bms.mp4

Newt week I should have finished the Android application, I just have to find what are the 4 more bytes I receive, it should be 120 from the spec. but I get 124.
I'm bad to do GUIs, so it will be very basic but working !

Tres tres 8).
Wish my french was good enough to express, how good your set up is and compliment you on the work you are putting into investigating and appraising this bms.

Great job!I am looking forward the Android application.

Tips:I provided 2 kinds of current sensor,one is BT100(+-200A),the other is BT200(+-400A).
During your riding,if working current is not big,for example,30-60A,and you are using BT200,I suggest you take some turns of wires arround hall sensor.
take 2 turns,BT200 will be as +-200A
take 4 turns,BT200 wii be as +-100A

The application is not finished yet, I have issues when receiving the data. It needs a few 'read' commands to get all instead of a single call, so I will have to add a kind of buffer and more checks before to process it.
And my development PC is not in the same floor than my scooter, so it is a bit complicated...

Take it easy,I am looking forward to it ,too.

My new control-throttle BMS is released.
Here is the specification.

i like the e-lock feature, having the main battery contactor directly at the battery rather than the BMS. Is there a reason it is in the positive line and not in the negative? I saw these always in the negative battery wire, maybe this is not save at this high voltage?

I have a complete Fouding power 18s lipo BMS for sale, incl amp hall sensor, large screen etc.

I mismatched a channel when connecting a balance wire, it is not working good anymore but Founding power repaired it by an earlier mistake.

This time I did not send it back yet.

Someone want to buy it from me ?

Bazaki it's not clear what you're selling.

You're selling a broken BMS that was once repaired by Eason, which you're not having repaired now?

Does include the battery?

A small update: I can read the data ! I wanted to implement a clean way to receive them but ended to waiting a little bit after sending the command to read the data and I always receive it in a single read command.
But now there is an issue with the data parsing...

Eason, do you have the communication protocol for the CS-BMS ? I have the one for the older one which is 120 bytes long but this one sends 124 bytes.
I think it is for the (unused) speed sensor. I can reverse engineer the protocol but it will be faster if you have it.

If the protocol is not the same for your new EBS version please send it, I will try to make it compatible with all the versions.

OK!Let me organize files and send you via E-mail later.
And new 2.42inch OLED for EBSBMS finished..

Finally it's OK, I found where the bytes go !

Here is the first plot with one sample per second, I tried faster but it doesn't work. I made it with gnuplot, it is very powerful but not very easy to use:

I will make a log of a charge and a test run next monday, then prepare a zip with the software, source code, instructions for the serial adapter...
Can someone test the apk if it installs well ?

The csv file has the following format (yes, there is an issue with temp2 value):

Cool,I have dowdloaded and will test it.

Here is the communications protocol of new EBS-BMS.

THere are many new parameters and please have a look.

your message is hiding there and I did not find it until now.
the reason in negative battery wire is that I can use N-mos rather than P-mos,as N-mos is cheaper and better technological level.

Is the daisy chained version available yet.
Need 36S Thanks
Not yet.
We are ready to use newer LTC6804 chips for daisy chained version.

Hey there, I am curious when this one will be ready?
I would like to purchase one or the other, and seems smart to wait for the new version..

thanks!

This is a quick guide to install the bluetooth module on the BMS and in the rar file there is the apk (you can also install it using the QR code), source code and a csv sample.

Envoy !
