This is a video of a front bike failure, although at high speeds it appears like a failure you would never expect, The frame appears to break. With all the extra weight and speed of ebikes, might be a good idea to inspect the welds there http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZNwmpLPhoHw

Cracking near the head tube is a common mountain bike frame failure mode. Notice how newer frames have gussets and various reinforcing around the head tube joints.

jesus that guy is lucky is lucky to be alive.

if he were on concreate, (ebike commuting) he would have died.

I don't know how he'd be going 170 kph (106 mph) on concrete with a pedal-powered mountain bike.

Down a dry concrete viaduct perhaps....

Looks like his mountain bike shocks developed a deadly resonance in the slow motion playback which finally broke his front fork. It's amazing how much damage you can do when you find the resonance frequency of a material.

I remember seeing a video of a bridge resonating, and the engineer, very aware of what was going on walking down the middle of the bridge. The bridge completely destroyed shortly after.
