Govecs Go! 2.4 issues please point me in the right direction

I recently acquired a govecs scooter.

after having replaced the charger, i got it up and running and working perfect.

Since last week the scooter started to oscillate the power when riding, oddly only at full speed.
It holds in for half a second and then the power shoots up again.

It's like i'm driving horseback...

At random, you can hearing the motor knocking and cutting off a few milliseconds too.

The efficiency from the battery seems lower too.

Can anyone point me in some direction? My guess would be halls, but then it should behave like this at low speeds too?

Might be worth checking the throttle. If it's giving a noisy 0-5 V you might get these effects. Otherwise it could be the encoder.

What kind of charger did you buy?
It is a 21S 40 Ah battery am I right?

I had one lying around, it is a 84v 3a charger, from AliExpress.

The battery is a 20s 40 amps lithium ion

The original charger was a 15 amps charger.
Much too expensive to replace.

I'm always charging overnight so I don't really need a fast one.

I think the pack get much better balancing too with a softer charger

Ah, i always thought they were 21 S for some reason.

I also have a 20S NMC battery in my Govecs and I charge with two MW HLG-240H-42a in series which i mounted on board where the original charger used to be. I have also dialled down to 82 volt for 4,1v/cell full charge to ease the stressing on the cells and increase longetivity of the entire pack.
Parallel i keep an em3ev 84 volt charger for occiasional full balance charges.

Very happy with this solution.

Issue solved!

I shifted the encoder a few millimeter and it rides smoothly again!

The problem returned after 20 km...
I tried shifting the encoder some more but it seems I can't get it resolved.

It's presume it's very likely the encoder went bad?

The encoder which is mounted on the shaft has double option. incremental optical & hall.
Sevcon controller only utilizes the hall feedback option so that wont be the issue i guess because it cannot be mounted in a wrong angle afaik.
Where did you buy the Ixxat adapter?

No, I eventually bought a second hand motor, but when I installed it, it gave an other error code.... Temperature sensor....

Then you forgot to connect the motor temp sensor.
Or disable the temp sensor input in DVT if your motor doesnt have one.

I hooked everything up the way it was with the previous motor....
Thing is, I don't have software or the data cable to adjust things.

If someone knows the pinouts of motor and controller, then I could figure it all out... I'll post a pic the show you guys all the connections on the controller

I haven't got the time to check the scooter out, I have my house up for sale and begun moving stuff....

I found an extra wire to connect, and now it works I have the old motor to spare, so I'll look into that later on. Thnx for the link to the manual!

A.s., did you managed to solve this issue? Would have been nice if OP posted the solution so it can help others with the same problem. I'm currious to see what causes this behaviour. I can only prevent the motor from oscillating and stalling by driving a bit slower than maximum speed.
