GT i-drive 2.0 Build

Gotcha, I also run 10awg too, and I am waiting for larger display CA from Justin@ebikes.ca. My Lyen controller set to 45A and I am sure that I am pulling ampere lot since my ebike wanted wheelie fly the front wheel up into the air.

You made me want switch to an bullet 4MM and I am getting tired of Anderson 45A connectors end up no good when the initial spark cause the metal connector melt or molten to deformed. ARGGH!

Thanks for the pictures

just for fun i thought i'd mention that this is where i was this time last year (p5 of thread):
file.php

a lot to see here, but i'm mainly pointing out the camera... parents always said i had to stick with something long enough to justify buying better equipement (such as gopro).. :D

I'm still shooting with my A70... 2" MOD, PC-controlled intervelometer, taken a beating for years now..

Canon replaced the CCD on a recall 3mo ago.

Man, that is one busy handlebar. I remember that whole get up when we met for lunch that day in Chinatown...

Hah! I try to tell myself the same thing.

Hey G-

When the 9C motor gets bad cog and stuttering. Is that mean my sensor hall is bad? I have not ride my ebike for a week and I finally take my ebike go out ride. When I start accelerating sudden bad stutter and died nothing throttle. I tested volt meter everything showing 5v look good.

I tested remove all wires out to let test ride and it felt like I am being dragged awful bad slow and stutter noise coming from 9C motor. Is that mean my 9C motor died?

Thanks, knoxie.

You should let john use this video to show how strong his lace jobs are.
He's welcome to. John Robb Holmes is the Man! This was my first run on the trails with his wheel. I meant to check it afterwards. Should be fine... I guess I was a bit distracted after I got home and shut down the camera without stopping the recording, thereby destroying my full 45 min run after all the set up shots! :(

Nice job, Greg :D Did you stage the camera for each jump?
No, I splurged and bought 10 gopros and left them all over the woods for one glory run...

Yeah, I had to set up all the shots. Quite tedious for a guy who usually goes from A to B as fast as possible... I was cooped up yesterday so I was determined to go out this morning. Everything was frozen at first, but started getting muddy towards the end.

Nice. I particularly like the one jumping over the top. I was planning to do a few shots like this but I'm worried if I don't get sufficient air I'll crush my new gopro!

Are you still shooting in 1080 and just slowing it down ? Have you tried shooting in 720 60fps and then converting it back to 30 fps ? Apparently it gives pretty smooth 1/2 speed slo mo, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Thanks, Hy.

Yep, 1080, then slowed down. Remember the jumps one I did when I first got the camera. That one I shot @60fps, but it got imported at 30fps. I didn't know I needed special software/processes to convert the 60fps footage... Beware of that. Maybe save the raw file, just in case? Great all around converter here, fyi. GoPro recommended it in tutorials for rotating the footage. But maybe yours has the new firmware?

Checked the rear wheel this morning. Looks very true. :D Maybe I'll drop the vid in John's spoke thread...

Meanwhile, out of sheer boredom of editing my inbound commute, I decided to speed up the open road scenes. Intermixed with other clips of my usual traffic surgery however, the video editor kept crashing. So this morning, I just tried speeding up the entire commute. No time to put music to it yet...

Don't watch it if you're prone to seizures.

What is your typical watt-hours per mile on the commute run?
Hey Alan. Inbound just under ~1Ah / mile for 5 miles so 5Ah @ ~78V. Outbound (uphill) a bit more. Close to half that at speed setting 2!

Nice video. So nice to see and feel the sun :D Looks like you are still on front studs :?:

I will take off the studs this week. Forecast for 50F+ :) Great sunrise this morning? Sailor take warning

Something about 50mph winds this afternoon? Fun, fun.

And yeah, I never got comfortable cornering on pavement w/ the studs. Can't wait to get back to the Cyclops! Maybe will splurge for some freshies...

@GCinDC - Any comment on my question? I remember you had that kind experience problem with your 9C in past and need your answer asap before I go ahead order replacement motor hub.

Now which one is MONSTROUS torque and FAST motor hub

1. xlyte HS40
2. xlyte x5303
3. Maxi-Mighty
4. stick with 9C 9x7 motor
5. 10H copycat 9C motor

Is sensorless motor such xlyte HS40 can go 40+ mph and what about torque?

Hard to beat the price at Niagra :D I just ordered some more for 24 inch rims. I think they were less than $12 each. A downhill tube was $10

Did you look in your build thread? I'm happy to help you out THERE. That's where you should post questions on your build...

That's crazy! <snaps up a couple> :D

I'd like to get another couple trail rides in with the treads on tho. Thing is, if not frozen, the trailes are gonna be MUDDY till July!

BTW, I was in the middle of the Glover Park trail (no bike signs at every entrance) when this group of mountain bikers came cruising up! Couldn't believe it! Middle aged men who pay their taxes and taking matters in their own hands, going in group to minimize risk of sightings?

No worries. I think you'll get more help and better help if you post your questions in your own build thread...

Thats freakin awesome. I wonder how many cameras they had on you while you were riding at the reflecting pool.... 8) You if my bike ever left the ground, it would fall apart im pretty sure haha.
