I'm telling you, they've got a file you one a mile long
LOL!!! Yeah I wouldn't go 40mph with them watching, under 30 and you should be good.

Easier said than done with my plugs... I'd have to make a new discharge plug. Might be a good use for it though... And since I rarely leave discharge plug in, that solves problem of draining the pack. (knock, knock). Also, the cops would probably love it!Hyena said:Couldn't you just temporarily split your pack and put the watt meter in line ?
My shunt had been set at 2mohms, but I knew that Amps were reading too high. That was okay, since I was really using less than I thought. But for judging the heat generated at what current, I needed more accuracy. While I do have a Turnigy Watt Meter on order, I thought I'd at least use the RC charger method, so here are some results...Kepler said:I managed to get my CA shunt calibrated by recording Ahrs used off the CA and comparing this to the Ahrs put back in via my RC type charger.
Odd AM storm. With lightning! I waited it out tho...dbaker said:Brutal rainstorm on the way in.
Yeah they are a 2.2 mohm shunt - I could have told you that and saved you the trouble :lol:GCinDC said:Set to 2.2, it's pretty accurate. It will be interesting to see how accurate this is once the watt meter arrives...
IIRC, for me, its' always the opposite. The CA always reads a lot higher than the WU or TWM. I wish the CA had a peak Watts, so I could directly compare that too, instead of calculating it manually (whcih still comes out way higher, IIRC)>GCinDC said:One thing that was always different, when I did this before, was max amps reading on Turnigy Watt meter was much higher than on CA.

Wife's home with the kids this week (spring vaca), so I'm off dropoff/pickup duty - hence Mass Ave..![]()
Am I keeping the throttle wide open when I know that it's adding no more thrust and only heating the motor with useless amps? Yeah, pretty much... But I'm not pulling 50A for more than a consecutive minute...dbaker said:Are you running WOT on the way home?
Hey Amber, you must be right. I couldn't remember which was higher, to be honest...amberwolf said:The CA always reads a lot higher than the WU or TWM.
0.3V? But that's just at rest! Imagine what it was under load?dbaker said:What was maximum cell imbalance at the end of that ride?![]()
I've never heard of fire starting by drained lipo.chroot said:Ouch! Your damn very lucky and it didn't start fire when the LiPo goes dying.
Was this the REPAIRED one? or new? What was repaired last time? Do you know?chroot said:@G- Guess what...... My Lyen controller FRIED again! I had set CA ampere limit at 15A and it apparently did not keep the lyen controller at limit as prevent damage to Mosfets or 9C motor whatever.![]()
