Can anyone who has modded these please help with two queries, as I don't want to try and end up ruining a good transmitter.

1. Will it work if I unplug the steering control? The control that is usually used to steer is plugged into the main board. As it is redundant, will the controller function with it removed and unplugged, just leaving the trigger control plugged in?

2. My second query will only happen if I am feeling brave. The pic below shows the board with that big silver square on top. Could I de solder this and flip upside down (observing the same connections!) and resolder so it runs down the back of the board? I am not sure what it's for, but I guess it's needed, but it's in the way if I want to keep it small and neat.

Any help appreciated....

Awesome. Just discovered that it is illegal to ride and I will get endorsements on my driving licence

Need to hide that controller somehow!

Thanks

Anyone tried making and using oogroo?

My plan is to screw/epoxy/glue/tape everything into position and then encase the whole thing in oogroo, leaving the charge and on off switch exposed.

It is rubbery and hard wearing and apparently can be cut open and peeled off the boards and components if needed.

I do not have the luxury of 3d printers and like the idea of a rubberised grip.

Any thoughts
