UPDATE: I've got on my hands the controller that came with this motor (Decathlon Elops 900e)

Hi,

I am trying to figure out the pin-out of a hub motor I've got my hands on (no controller or any clues about the bike it was on).
Here's the motor connector image, the bigger holes are for phase pins (confirmed Ok with a testing tool).
Resistance between the two surrounded in red is 10Kohm.

There is a label on the motor: DEV5R36V2820710400 which I couldn't find anywhere

Before disasselmbling the motor or trying to send 5v to random pins I'd like to try my luck here.

If You know anything or have any advise it would be welcome.

Should be easy to trace if you open up the hubmotor.

The three large pins are the motor phase wires, they can be attempted in any order with no fear of damage.

The small pins use 5 of them for halls. The three signal wires (Blue/Green/Yellow...BGY) can be attempted in any order with no damage.

The red/Pos (5V) and the black/Neg/ground need to be identified properly before connecting to power. A reverse polarity can fry them.

Extra pins can be a speedometer or a temp sensor, and you can find them with the motor open.

Trace what wire does what with the "continuity" feature of a DMM, betweeen the pin and where the wires come out inside the motor. If you have a long wire with a break in the middle under the insulation, you can't see the break, but connecting the two DMM probes to the two ends of the wire will tell you if there is no continuity (no beep) or the copper is continuous (gives you a beep)

Are you going to use the connector once you get a controller? If not, you could cut it off and check the wiring colors that may give you an educated guess, if two of them are red and black, and the others are blue, yellow, and green.
 
Thanks for the advise, if I don't get any information about the connector, I'll have to open the motor or cut off the connector.
But for the time being I'll wait a little more in the hope some one can identify it and give me some clues.

If possible I'd rather keep the connector and the cable intact, it seems neat and looks like I could make the male counter part rather easily plus if I can get the reference it might even be possible to purchase it.

It looks like a DIN connector or possibly a GX12 connector. But I've never seen either of those with different size pins. Maybe post a side view, it might jog a memory.
Having spent a fair amount of time looking for mates for oddball connectors that ended up not fitting it's my guess that you'll save yourself a lot of aggravation by replacing that with 2 connectors.
 
The 10k measurement looks like maybe a temperature sensor. You need 5 little pins for the hall sensors, so possibly one pin is shared, most likely a ground. I've seen some similar connectors, but not that exact configuration.

I don't think you can be sure about the wiring without opening up the motor then.

Have put the motor in the freezer, let's see if the measurement changes.
Gonna be a neat hack if it works :idea:

However even if it does, I'll still have two candidates for the ground pin and four candidates for the 5v.
Testing 8 combinations is not a big deal but with the tester I have, I'll be sending 5v with up to 220mA (the current I get from the tester between the red and black wires without any load) to the wrong pins on the hall sensors and possibly to the t° sensor (due to he common ground).
I wonder if there is a risk to do any damage with that.
 
220mA is enough to fry a hall sensor if you connect it backward. I would either cut off the connector and look at wire colors or better, open up the motor.
