About to order one of the lights (from 4 lights bellow). I think that the one is Megashine. Not because it has most lumens, but because it has one main and two additional beam sources and lights up path most widely (I expect so). By the way I would prefer if sellers could sell lights without external PSUs as Magicshine does not. I could tap into CA or use my own battery as PSU.

The list of lights I decided to choose from:
Cycle Lumenator 185$ (DC converter included) 1000 Lumens
Single Halogen 80$ (DC converter included) 10W

Magicshine 78$ (uses external PSU, included) manufacturer claims 900 Lumens, some say it has about 700 Lumens
Megashine 120$ (uses external PSU, included) manufacturer claims 1400 Lumens, some say it has about 900 Lumens

Which one from these lights is most worth to buy for night riding? Or would you recomend some other worth to buy light?
Maybe Single Halogen from ebikes.ca is more than enough for night rides and there is no need to spend more $ than that.

Please share your thoughts, Thanks.

Appendage:
By the way, it just came to my mind that possibly I could use my 3cells Lipo pack (max 12.6v) with Magicshine or Megashine light in case I would run out of external battery which is inluded with Magichshine? Or 12.6v would be too many for bulbs which are used inside Magicshine lights.
Original Magicshine battery pack is 4x18650 lithium batteries (connected for 7.2v). Megashine is designed to run under 7.2v, but maybe it is capable to be run on 12.6v?

There is also a 1400 lumin magicshine which alot of us have. I like it very much. Geomangear.com. I was just on a 30 mile ride with mine last night.

Check out Dr Bass's build as he has 4 Magicshines running off a DC/DC converter. I am gunna get one and use a converter also.

Actually you can get them without batteries and charger. Check out http://www.geomangear.com

docnjoj,
i've cheked Dr Bass's build. I found it very suitable to use DC converter. Only some good converter is needed which actually would accept my 48 volts (15 Ah ping battery) and would convert it to 12v or so. Some DCs are rated for input AC ~100v - 220v, but probably or I would say hopefully they will accept DC 48v and covert it to 12v.

I'm better of shipping whole package (headlight & battery) from dealextream then buying separate headlight cause I'm in EU (shipping+taxes), otherwise I would get headlight and one DC converter.
