How to identify 4130 CrMo bicycle frame?

So, the frame has arrived. I've tried knocking on it, and it does ring a lot, while my old plain steel frame doesn't ring at all. Could it be because it isn't stuffed with components (seat post, bb, etc.)?

It's possible though not probable. I did the tap test on a mixed chromoly/high tensile steel bike. The chromoly parts made a ringing sound while the high tensile steel parts made a dull thud.

I think you can be pretty certain that you have the good stuff.
