Hi,
i've been shunt modding my controllers for like 2 years or more
but always i have the problem of the solder heating during discharge and melting and finally decreasing the shunt mod
i can start a ride with 85a peaks and finish with 65a peaks
anyone has a method to stick it in there? maybe a copper strand rolled around the shunt?

If you're heating the shunt to 800F+ degrees to melt the solder, I'd say you need to do something to cool things off before anything else.

the controller isn't getting too hot, i guess its just the fact that its solder and its not conducting too well by itself (i think?) so it heats more than the other parts in the controller
its like the soft spot of the controller, a shunt full of solder, maybe i could just replace the shunt with a bigger piece of copper or whatever its made of?
maybe the best solution would be tig welding the copper? if its even possible
