Is this a good deal? (I’m a noob and would probably take it to a shop)

Personal injury express

"All the wires are there they just need to be connected I have 2 controllers. If you know how to wire scooters this is a hell of a deal and an easy way to save a couple hundred bucks. There $800 new, "

You're in New York and the scooter is in San Francsisco, so it will be $250 shipped. You have no idea if the motor or battery are any good. Maybe the frame is cracked. When you buy this stuff, either you know what it is already or you see it in person.

Terrible deal for a newbie. Why don't you take the ebay listing to your scooter shop and ask them what they think you'll end up paying? They'll at least have a good laugh,

Ok, thank you very much
P.S. - Don't get one of those turds. Putting your head right above the front wheel is inviting the kind of brain damage that would make you want one of those abominations to begin with.

Looks like she tried to stop, put her foot on the ground, but the scooter never slowed. Also, that's an unpowered scooter going downhill, Has a foot brake on the rear.

They are useful. My little grandkid learned how to balance on one a few years ago. Really helped when we moved her to a bike,

A vehicle is only as safe as its driver.
But also no safer than its layout, which in the case of stand-up scooters is proven extremely unsafe. Ask any ER worker in any significant city.

True. I was on my scooter and waved to my neighbor. I was going about 5MPH. The front tire swung right and I flew to the street, left of the scooter. Never wave to your neighbors when on your scooter. Glad I had my helmet.
