Its completely up to you how to do that. A set of balance wires are at +cathode and -anode poles, creating a voltage potential between those poles. Logical placements are on either each individual cell or on each series string (10 sets) or parallel string (7 sets). If your pack design is to string cells in parallel and then string those in series, then the latter would work fine. Your balance charger, if that is what you're using, needs to match the voltage and amperage characteristics of its target, different in each case. Programmable balance chargers can enable that.jitup said:Hello,
I bought 100 of these a couple months ago, and after months of testing, I am ready to assemble my 7s10p pack. I only have a one main point of confusion. Where do I attach the balance wires? What connector do you guys use for the balance wires at the end?
Thanks

In batteries, the cathode refers to the entire positive plate, the terminals to which are exposed, the ends on cylindrical cells, but which internally is rolled and comprises a significant part of the battery by weight. In a device which consumes power, the cathode is negative, and in a device which provides power, the cathode is positive: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathode

I hope this makes sense. Like it was said, use any kind of connector you want as long as you install the matching connector on the balance charger. Pictured is a crummy drawing of a JST connector.
mistercrash said:Wow! Now that is embarrassing. There would've been some KFF on the drawing I made before. I made the corrections. I hope I got it right this time. You'd think I never did batteries out of Konions before.

Even when these cells are given fo free?
We could at least verify our design and have a decent battery pack to ride with this year... Perhaps not the best, but functionnal.
