I just purchased a 2015 Giant Trance x29er and would like to convert it to an ebike. I have made and used rc drive components for an electric dirt bike 2 years ago with great success and now would like the same for this new hobby. So I have a few questions about converting the bike.
1) The bike has a hollow crank. Is there a kit out there for such a thing? I looked at the 8fun, gng units and neither is hollow. I'm more or less looking for a freewheel that will work with the bottom bracket. I can fabricate a lot of the stuff but not sure if it would work being that I have yet to take the bike apart.
