let's start this tread with the mongoose pinn'r 1.0

a 48v hub wheel from ebike-kit.com that i loved very much... it lasted about 1 year in my hands.
now its dead and i bought a new kit for the mogoose 2.0

dont have so many photos of my old setup but i got a video i made to get my friends riding with me.

this is just stupid, EM3ev has done a great job with this kit. i was on my first test trip now, impressed....
made some noise in relation to ebike-kit.com DD kit, but can not compare DD and geared motors in volume? i have heard you can add oil to bring down the volume a bit, someone know anything about that?
I might post a video tomorrow if it is not blizzard. just for fun :)

little update, works well in ice conditions and its not so noise anymore, havent tested the range on 48v 20Amp lipobattery but i think this is more economic than the e-bikekit DD.
paintet the controlle black so its not so viseble anymore

Looks like fun!
How is it like to have the battery in a backpack?

Cheers from Sweden w/o snow

the waight is almost the same as a camebak so i dont feel the batterypack.
also the backpak i use is an old camebak. but i guess the best option would be to have it on the bike but i dont like the sound of that :|

does that bike have slotted dropouts or a round axle? i can't quite make out what's going on there. how'd you do it?

to embed vids, fyi, just click the youtube button in the editor, and then paste the vid id in, so it looks like this:
Code:

et voila:

look forward to more!

it got round axle but i modyfied it to fit slotted dropouts too when its electric.
ty for the youtube posting lesson :)
nice bike you hot, is it 26 front and 24 rear wheel you got?

bought a waterprof voltmeter on ebay and mounted it on so i can se how much Volt i got left when i ride. my best investment in a long time hehe
next upgrade will be a coiled spring cable from my backpack to the bike, just need to find one with maby 10 awg wire, so far i found 16 awg but i think thats too small

My verdict on it.. I'm NOT going back to the small bike lights again, it's so good to see something :)
The only downside is that you need to turn it off when you passing ppl or they go blind, so you still depends on two lights.
Bought it on eBay. 36watt led bar. Got a 300 watt led bar on my car and I'm very happy with the quality of this lights.

Before I mounted it I cut of 90% of the cooling ribs so I got it smaller and I'm only gonna use this light in speed so I don't need giant cooling ribs. Now It's maybe 50% of the size from when I got it.
