It's probably dead. Yes you can skip a board. Check the voltage first!!
You can skip it, but you have to configure that board to zero cells in the bms menu.moonshine said:So if I started seeing smoke after plugging in the second plug is it safe to assume it's dead? Is it OK to just skip that board and resume plugging in the rest of the packs on the third board?

What is a safe setting for max temp? 212F?

Can you provide a link to where you got that charge plug with the flip cover it looks good i would like to get one for my bike

I really like your build its my favorite so far for, hub-wheelbase- looks-battery-bms-fork-tires -special add ons..dont melt it!

Love the build. Our setup is pretty similar , but I think I have a 5t as far as batteries, controller, motor go.

They're connectors typically for high quality audio stuff. A company called Neutrik makes them. The connector i used were 4 pole connectors (4 slots for 10awg if soldered or >12awg if using the screws on the connectors). The part that plugs in is a NL4FX connector:

The port that it goes in is the NL4MP-ST (screw version not the solder tabs)

I copied this from Allex's former bomber. They're freakin great! High quality, sturdy, and able to withstand up to 30a i believe (not sure though).

Looks like your Max-E is mounted inside the enclosure.. What sort of MOSFET temperatures are you getting up to?
