It's called Vulkanradweg in the Vogelsberg region. Near Fulda in Hessen. People travel there from all of Germany, literally hundreds of longboarders each year at the beginning of may..

Haha it's not luxurious by any means but it offers enough room for some people to crash inside and room for tents outside. Plus a fireplace+grill and the license to play loud music all night. Also it's right next to the lake.

I had an impression motorized "scooters" without a seat were forbidden in Germany completely...
Otherwise it's a great spot for popularizing the electric boards.

I forgot to mention, for the first time I extensively tested regenerative braking by checking exact voltage before and after going down the hill without throttle but lots of braking. 10km's down it read the exact same voltage not even mV's higher so there's no regen at all on my alien esc.

Braking takes energy as it's a reverse current .. The regen only happens when your freewheeling and rotating the motors not under power .
I know it works because when I rotate my wheels when on the bench the volt meter lights up ..

Ok but I think it's very unlikely that my breaking consumed exactly as much energy as my freerolling gave back. Pretty sure that if I freerolled those 10km's down without braking my pack wouldn't have been charged. Are you talking about a voltmeter that is connected to the battery?

I got a voltmeter parallel to my ESCs power in and when I spin the motors fast enough even if the battery is disconnected, I can see voltage as long as I spin them fast enough. If and how much mAh this regenerates I can't really tell tho.

Sorry Beets I read your post wrong. So voltage increases when freewheeling. Too bad regenerative braking doesn't work. At spots like this it would be awesome to win some energy back when going downhill.

Well yes, as the motor is acting as a generator .. Rotate it and electricity flows from it.

Beetbocks, can you confirm that regen braking only stores about 3% of the generated energy back into the battery or do you have other experiences with this?

I've never tested it..to be honest I spend more time on the throttle than I do free wheeling..so I've never bothered..I know it's not a large amount..unlike a f1 car!!
