I found a good bike:

It bounces around amazingly well. Thinking of welding a bit of a battery mount on top of the top tube level with the seat post.. put a few lipos in there.

I love the axles on these downhill bikes, so serious compared to the quick release skewers. Totally practical to use.

Motor is being assembled as we speak. Updates to follow.
 
Nice frame, especially like the removable dropouts, great to create axle clamping dropouts for without damaging the frame
 
Sadly, I pulled out of this build, because I found a pretty good second hand/new bike locally which was too good a deal to miss out on. Best of luck to Dave and tangent motors, to me it's clearly the most refined mid drive on the market.
If anyone in melbourne wants to grab the frame, let me know. I'll put it in the shed otherwise for a future build.
