Without a doubt, your build is amazing. There is only 2 things I would like different on the bike, one personal, one legal. I liked your fsr better because it had pedals, and pedals make a bike legal basically. If you cannot pedal the bike, it makes it a motorbike, so can't be confused as an electric bike by some misinformed police. Otherwise, I *think* it could be lighter for the weight (or maybe I am a hub hater) but wouldn't 80-100 motor be as powerful and lighter? admittedly with extra gearing, so complexity, but personally I feel that is a solvable issue by designers/engineers.
So that's my 2 cents on your build, not exactly as I would do it, but rides how you like it to. I believe in a gng type build that can fit on majority of bikes, use a brushless motor, and be lighter than a hub build. As an industrial design student interested in the final mile issue, I say why make new bikes when we can use our current rides?
