New project! Trike with "front"-drive

So this basically fell into my lap. In the local bst facebook group someone sold this for 45€!

It's in pretty bad shape. The tires are done for, all the cables need to be changed, both headsets are completely destroyed. The power train looks pretty good except for some chain rust. Haven't checked the wheels closely yet, but no obvious wheel bearing trouble. The disc brakes seem fine except for the bad cables.

Last but not least, there is a horrendous paint job, a diy gold rattle can thing. Something needs to be done about that.

Nothing that can't be fixed though, the frame looks like it's in generally good shape.

I have a bunch (10+) 4S 6Ah lipo batteries I got a while ago on a cheap deal. Probably going to make a 12S 12Ah from 6 of them, and get a Bafang BBS02 to power it. I've had really good experience with it on my three-wheeled cargo bike. Now finally the whole family can go out on trips with crazy e-bikes

Technically squeaking, That's a rear drive system using a mid-drive motor

Yeah, I was a little uncertain what to call it ;-D usually we call these mid drives, but that's not really the case here.

FWIW, I dunno about where you are, but around here the crappier the paint job the less likely it is to vanish when you're not looking.

Though the motor will be mounted on the front, where the crank is,, it's still going to be a mid drive. Or more accurately, a crank drive.
