Perhaps the Queen of Australia should propose a test. Take two convicted criminals (convicted to die somewhere or other for some truely nefarious and despicable crimes). Run down one with the Nissan, the other with any fossil fueled vehicle the crowd wishes.
Proving once and for all the vehicles are fairly matched (hopefully).
First, there is nothing worth killing over, without the system passing such a judgement being equally if more deserving of the same fate.
I have amazing and enlightening news for you my friend. Even though they are heavy with 4 wheels and certainly capable of great harm to anything they hit, no vehicle in my ownership other than a pedal-power-only Mt. Bike has ever hit or killed any living things besides bugs (the Mt. Bike sadly killed a squirrel on a sidewalk).
You will find most objects over about 10lbs or so with kinetic energy can pretty easily take life, from a falling coconut to a wave from the ocean or the computer you're typing on if it were dropped onto someone in the right setting.
Nobody rational will argue you that physical objects striking bodies can/does do gross gnarly harms.
The beautiful news I have for you my friend is that it's not a requirement for objects to impact and harm living things. Most do not, and some even get used for human experience enhancing functions while causing no harms.
I enjoy your strong desire to make changes that avoid death/harms to living things. Perhaps the efforts could be better directed at improving the greater harm-causing life-style choices like poor diet, smoking cigarettes etc.
