QSMOTOR,0.5-12kW Electric Hub Motor & Mid Drive Motor Manufacture China

Wait a moment! I do not have real problems yet. I read about the problems on other threads.
For the moment I have just done the autodetect and it seems to me that both main halls plug and spare one did a good autodetect.
Next weekend I will lace the motor to a 19" rim and then after fine tuning the angle and power parameters will report back here.

Hello Vito. I want to buy qs273. What is the widest stator width? 40mm? Most copper fill?

The QS 273 is also in a 50H version.

Easily sorted. Thanks macribs.
Wonder if it can be had in a spoke version. I want to do a retro bike

AFAIK the QS 273 H50 is not available with spoke holes. However the slightly smaller 273 H40 is available with spoke holes and has the same dropout.

Hey I missed that one. I wonder what kind of peak power those bad boys will give? 20 kw or even 25 kw peak?

If a cro motor or 205v3 can handle 20kw without turning into plasma I'm sure a 273 can handle 30kw. I've been looking for the phase to phase resistance of the 205 to properly calculate heat losses at different amps. If this can be provided for the 205 and 273 we can get a much better idea of the capable power of these motors.

thanks for posting Sam.
i rarely watch ebike vids but that was worth it.

iv previously been sceptical about the extra weight of the 273 in a lightweight ebike frame, but i have to admit this has me very tempted to take it to the next level
suprise surprise....

I have got a custom made QS4 from Vector. Is there any User manual which wire is for what?

do you know what vector has done or custom made so they call it a "QS4"?
whats the turn count?

The RPM is 650. I don´t know what is custom on it.

What voltage are you using? 20s pack or 22s pack?

I think I will use 22s. What is the difference between 20s and 22s?

Voltage is the difference and with voltage the max RPM. Higher voltage spins electric motors faster.

20s = 4.2 x 20 = 84 volt
22s = 4.2 x 22 = 92.4 volt.

With 22s pack you can charge up to say 4.05 or 4.1 v of each individual battery. Yet still have higher top speed then with a 20s. When you don't need to charge to 100% your batterypack will have longer life expectancy.

So rather then tell us the RPM of the motor, tell us the Kv of the motor. Kv is the numbers of rotations the motor takes per volt fed. Kv = RPM per volt.
So when you say RPM = 650 for us to know the Kv we must know the pack you intend to use so we can find Kv.

Ok, there have been a lot of hear say here the past few days. So lets try to gather enough information to make informed decisions.

For some time now there have been stated that Adaptto do not work with them large Crown motors.
Past week or so there have been a posts scattered around the forum where people have heard or read somewhere that the QS 205 v3 Extra does not work well with Adaptto Max-e controller.

I have yet to see some state that they have had issues, yet these rumors keep floating. I myself have tried to poke into this as well. I think by doing so we might very well fuel these rumors even more true or not.

  • So is there any reason as to why the 205 v3 Extra should not work with Adaptto?
  • Is there other controllers that people are using with success for the v3 Extra motor?
  • Is there any certain reports of this affects all turn counts or just ie 3T motors?
  • Has anyone had success pairing QS 205 v3 Extra with adaptto controller?
  • Or failure for that matter?

i think i saw somewhere they were making a custom axle, with wire exit like cro, so the wires would not get damaged in the vector dropouts...

Crown motors do not works with Adaptto controllers due to deeper stator slots for more copper fill. QS 205 extra/V3 has deeper stator slots for more copper fill too then by analogy it would seem to not work.

Has anyone had success pairing QS 205 v3 Extra with adaptto controller?
I have succeed motor autodetect already and yesterday I laced my QS 205 extra/V3 to a 19" MX rim then weather permitting in the coming days I will try fine tuning controller parameters and see what I have here

Yes you are right. Artur told me about it when I was in munich. Just didn´t remembered it anymore. :)

Kool. Let us know how things turn out.

I'm running 24" x 68mm double alloy rims. On "boost function" I have to lean way over my bars or the front end comes up even @ 60mph. This is the most powerful Emoto I have ever built and rode.

love the bike.. mine looks similar to yours in white .. and with a hubmonster motor from john in cr!

Love the article about the QS motor. I saved a few links from that article in my favorites.

For the QS 205 / 50H V3 in a 3T at 15.6KV what is your price?

Also any other info on the 273 E-motorcycle Spoke Motor 3000W-8000W PCD3*80mm 200mm Drop-outs (273mm diameter) motor? price, kv etc etc etc

I'd be interested in your side-by-side double motors too.

I guess I just got to surf your Alibaba site, you got some cool interesting motors on offer.
